Good Things End

Chapter 2~

"Okay, so what your gonna do is tell yo parents that you sleeping over my place this Friday night" Amira said eating her burrito in between talking. "what if they say no?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders before throwing her rubbish in the bin "then you'll just have to sneak out" My eyes widened at her crazy idea. "I'm not doing that," I said getting an eye roll in return. "whatsup girls" Jacob O'conner, captain of the basketball team and 3rd cutest guy in our school said before taking a seat next to Amira. "last night I messaged you on snapchat at 3minutes passed 11 and you didn't open it then you put something on your story at 11: 40 so clearly you were active, and to top it all of you replied to my message at 7 am today" Amira said not looking too happy with Jacob. 

They are not dating, they never dated in the past and I don't think they would date in the future, honestly, I don't know what they are and I don't think they do either but there is some chemistry there. "you know my phone acts up sometimes and what matters is I replied in the end" Jacob said whilst eating at the same time. "can't you eat like a human?" she asked looking at him in disgust. Before he could say anything back Rodney and a few other guys in the basketball team came and also sat on our table. "I didn't see you in church yesterday Nyla" Rodney said sitting next to me. "oh I was there but I left a little early" he scrunched his eyebrows looking at me confused "that ain't like you" he said. "we left church early to go shopping" Amira told him. 

"wait did you say 'we'? you want church yesterday?" Jacob asked shocked "now that ain't like you" Rodney piped in also surprised just like everyone else on our table. " I wanna go heaven too okay," she said. Soon a new conversation started and everyone started talking whilst I sat and listened. They were talking about whether they would rather give or receive head and as I've never been in either situation I couldn't really contribute. "you a little quiet there Nyla" Jacob smirked, noticing me not saying anything. "yeah, which one would you rather do?" Rodney asked. "erm give head?" I said- well it came out more like a question. I didn't really mean it, I just didn't want it to look like you know, I've never done anything with a guy- which I haven't, but they don't need to know that. 

The boys smirked and ooh'd at my answer making me blush a little bit. Amira chuckled at this then said "well fellas we gotta bounce cus we got class in 5minutes"  We packed up our stuff then stood up at the same time saying bye to everyone on our table. "I think Rodney likes you, like, really likes you"  Amira said as we walked down the hallways and to our class "he likes blonde hair and blue eyes" I told her. "he clearly tryna switch it up, try something new" Playfully, I rolled my eyes ignoring her. After another 2minutes of us walking we arrived at our English Class with Mr Gruntly. He was sat in his chair watching us walk in and take our sits "morning" he half-heartedly greeted us. "it's 1 in the afternoon" Someone called out, already seeming tired with the lesson and we haven't even started yet. 

"Today we will be reading a new book, The Great Gatsby"  Mr Gruntly said standing up and getting an old box that contained about 30copies of the books. "cool" I muttered lowkey getting excited. I've read the book before but I'm happy to read it again. "did you just say cool? you get nerdier every day" My friend Lula who was sat on the left side of me said chuckling. She always calls me a nerd but it's nothing serious, I know she's just messing around. well, I think she is. Once the books were handed out and everyone had a copy Mr Gruntly said we had to do quiet reading for 40minutes. Most of our lessons are like this, we really don't learn anything from him. 

Amira and Lula had the same idea of getting their phones out and using the books to hide them as they spent 40minutes scrolling through their social media. Soon everybody else saw this and thought it was a genius idea so they started to do it. The 40minutes were up and not including myself, only 4peope actually read the book. "I want you all to spend the next 20minutes writing a summary of what you read so far and what you think will happen in the next chapters" The room was filled with groans and complains "this is so stupid, we know how the book ends, we've all watched the movie" Lula said "and Leonardo is sooooo sexy, like zayummm zaddyyyy" Amira said sticking her tongue out earning laughs from the class. 

20 minutes went passed and the class was finally over but the day wasn't. Lula,  Amira and I walked out of the class and started making our way to Maths. "I will fucking kill the next person that looks at me" Dylan, the school bully and the towns bad boy practically shouted as he walked down the halls. He always uses the foulest language, does he kiss his mother with that mouth? "what got him angry now?" Lula asked annoyed with his behavior. Lula and Dylan have a complicated relationship but when Dylan gets angry only a few people can calm him down and Lula, his ex girlfriend, is one of them. 

"I thought he would be in a good mood with his Brother getting out of jail today" Rodney said appearing out of nowhere causing us to jump. "where did you come from?" I asked trying to get my heart beating normally again. He laughed at our reactions but didn't answer my question "wait, his brother is out of jail? damn 5years goes by" Amira said sharing the same surprised look as the rest of us. Dylan and his family are originally from Canada but due to the amount of trouble, his brother was getting into involving gangs and other criminal activities his mother decided to move them here for a fresh start. It didn't take long for Dylan's brother to turn back into his old ways and he soon ended up behind bars facing 5years for a crime that nobody really knows. 

Ever since he was taken away Dylan's behavior and attitude changed resulting in him being the way he is now. "I wonder how Dylan's gonna be now that Drakes back"
