Dinora could hear her father banging around in the kitchen below making breakfast. Her mother had already left for work. She stretched lazily and got out of bed. Moving to the window, she craned her neck to get a better view. Hoping to get a glimpse of Nate at his bedroom window. She could see him staring at his computer, his dark hair hiding his eyes from her. She could not understand him. He was a mystery to her even though they had been friends since she had moved to their small town. Dinora knew that she had feelings for him. He seemed to tolerate her, but did not return anything other than the stoic friendliness that he showed everyone. It was a blow to her teenage heart, though she really enjoyed his friendship even if it never progressed to the romance she allowed herself to dream about. She dressed for school quickly. Black hoodie,Chuck's and her long dyed black hair went up into a ponytail. She frowned when she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror, her corn silk blonde roots were beginning to show.
