It's me, Lily Barns. I'm back, and here's what happens after I resurface in the Arctic.

The last thing I told you was, me being rescued by five men, who turned out to be men from Hydra.

You know, that organization that the S.S.R. was tasked to take down.

Well, it looks like some went underground. And you've probably already guessed, that I got captured.

I did. So, why don't I start after I was captured by Hydra.

Again.

1948

After being fished from the cold Arctic water, I found out that the five men that rescued me were Hydra agents. Once realizing I was captured, and that I couldn't fight back, for I was shivering too much to even use fire to warm me up, I passed out from the cold.

When I woke back up, I was in a small, concrete room, with only a bed, a sink, and a toilet. Luckily there was a curtain. Everything came back to me. Seeing that I was no longer freezing, I decided to use my powers to try and get out. I lifted my hand, palm facing towards the ceiling, wanting to conjure a small flame, hoping I was able to use my abilities.

Before I could do anything, the metal door opened, and two men walked in, and immediately grabbed my arms, restraining me. Another man came in, head held high, and his chest puffing out. I assumed he was the leader of what was left of Hydra.

"Miss Barns," the man greeted me in his thick accent.

I narrowed my eyes in confusion.

"It's a wonder you survived three years in the Arctic waters," he continued.

"Who are you?" I asked, struggling to free my arms. "Where am I?"

"In a small Hydra base," the leader answered.

"Where?" I questioned, my eyes still narrowed. "I know we're not in Germany."

"How do you know that?" He raised his eyebrow.

"Your accent," I answered. "You're not German."

He chuckled.

"Very observant, Miss Barns."

"Where are we?" I demanded, through gritted teeth.

"Afghanistan," he answered.

"What do you want with me?"

I continued to try and free myself from the men's grip, but to no avail.

"What we always wanted," he smiled evilly.

As he chuckled, I noticed that he was two feet away from me.

"And you will help us."

I spit in his face.

"I will never help you," I said lowly.

Before anything else could be said, I felt a prick in my neck, and fell unconscious.

After that day, Hydra tried to force me to do what they want, but every time I refused, I was punished. Now, I've been the victim of a beating from a Nazi, but these guys are much worse.

Well, over the next 50 years, I've been Hydra's captive. Some of what's happened is a bit hazy, for there were times I blacked out, and can't remember anything. Hopefully, I didn't do something very bad, other than that, I had lost hope of being rescued.

Anyways, the next part of this story starts after 50 years, in 1998.

Another day in this stinking gray cell. I've tried numerous times to escape, but that didn't work out so well. One day, I think it was daytime, for my cell has no window, I was sitting on the floor. As I sat there, with my eyes close, trying to come up with a better escape plan, I was broken from my thoughts at the sound of fighting.
