Third Person

Later in the evening, Lily and Tony sat in the lab eating pizza for dinner. Tony had turned on Highway to Hell by AC/DC.

"Interesting song," Lily spoke after finishing.

"Interesting?" Tony asked, putting his plate down. "It's one of the best songs of all time."

Lily shook her head, before standing up.

"I'm gonna go for a walk," she announced.

"Have fun," he replied, as she began to walk to the garage entrance. "I might continue working on the suit."

She turned around, and began walking backwards. She saw him stand in front his suit, eating another slice.

"Don't do anything stupid till I get back," Lily retorted, before pausing.

Tony looked up, comeback at the ready, but stopped short upon seeing Lily's expression. This was the second time this happened.

"What's wrong?" Tony asked.

Lily looked up.

"Nothing," she dismissed.

"Lily," Tony started. "This makes the second time you've acted like this after making a teasing remark. What's wrong?"

Lily looked at him, before looking at her feet.

"It just reminded me of someone," Lily answered.

"The same person twice, or two different people?"

"Two different people," she looked Tony in the eye. "The first time, I said the same thing to a friend. This time, reminded me of my brother."

Tony nodded.

"Who were they?"

"Peggy Carter, who you may have heard of, and Bucky."

Silence fell over them.

"I'll be back later," Lily broke the silence.

"Yeah," Tony agreed.

With that, Lily walked out of the garage.

Lily was walking along the coast line, seven yards away from the house, when she stopped. The fuzzy feeling returned. This time, the feeling was so strong, she fell to her knees, instead of slowly kneeling. Soon, pictures flashed in her head.

She saw Tony sitting on the couch. A small handheld device. Obadiah standing over Tony. Then Obadiah stealing the arc reactor from Tony, while he couldn't do anything.

Lily gasped.

"Tony," she whispered, eyes wide in worry.

She looked back to the house, before taking off at a sprint.

A few minutes after Lily had left, Tony heard the phone ringing up stairs. He was the only person in the house, so he went up to go get it. Listening to the ring, he found it under a pillow on the couch.

As he sat on the couch, he looked at the caller idea. It was Pepper, he answered it.

"Tony?" Pepper spoke over the phone.

Before he could speak, he heard a high pitched ringing.

"Are you there?" Pepper asked.

Obadiah, who was hiding behind the couch, took the phone away from Tony. He hung up the phone, and gently laid Tony back against the sofa.

"Breathe," he mockingly told.

After laying Tony back, he held up the device, which was still ringing.
