"I could have sworn you and Malfoy were together already Potter?" Harry heard someone say for the third time. They had openly announced that they got together just before breakfast, but apparently everyone thought they were together already.
"No, we weren't. We got together three weeks ago." He repeated. It had been what he had said every time he heard that same statement.
The owls swooped down from seemingly nowhere. He wasn't expecting it, but an owl he had never seen before swooped down in front of him. He took the letter from it's beak and have it some bacon before it flew away.
The font on the front of the envelope was familiar, and the fact it was in an envelope instead of a sealed piece of parchment simply backed up his theory.
Dearest Harry,
I recently took it upon myself to ask Mrs. McGonagall for a way to Diagon Alley. I've never been able to get myself to go after your mother, and I never had a chance to go with her.
While I was there I bought myself this owl. He's beautiful isn't he? I named him Eltanin. That's the brightest star in the Draco constellation, but I'm sure you knew that (my little genius nephew). Vernon, of course, hates my Elt; I simply adore him.
Now I can send you letters without you having to send me one first. I'm so pleased about you and Draco. It's great you finally went that next step in your relationship and I hope it went well. He'll have to come over during the summer again. Despite his protests, Dudley quite likes him too.
All my love,
Petunia x
That was a pleasant surprise for Harry. He was never sure if he would manage to convince Petunia to go with him, but it seemed as though maybe it wouldn't be so hard anymore. The fact that she had (kind of...) named her owl after his boyfriend also have Harry a pleasantly airy attitude. It seems like everything is going his way today.
"What have you got there, love?" A familiar tone called from behind him as arms snaked around his shoulders.
"Auntie 'Tunia sent me a letter. She bought her own owl on her own trip to Diagon Alley, which she had, in a way, named after you. She also wants you over during the summer. She and Dudley are fond of you." Soft lips were pressed to his hair before Draco slid in beside him.
"Sounds great. What do you mean she named it after me?"
"She called him Eltanin."
Draco has been studying as hard as he could recently, and with the help of Harry has now also gotten 'O's in every class. So, knowing what that meant, blushed deeply with a massive smile.
"That's nearly as adorable as you." Cedric snorted into his juice.
"What's so funny Diggory?"
"It just occurred to me that I'm pretty sure you belong in Hufflepuff you sap."
Draco seemed offended. (He placed a dramatic hand over his heart and gasped so hecking loudly Mertyl's screams were put to shame.)
"I will let you accuse me of many things, but calling me a Hufflepuff? That's crossing a line."
"Oh? And what's so bad about Hufflepuff, Draco, my love?" He scrambled, spluttered and stammered his way through an apology.
"Nothing! Especially not you, Harry dear. It's a great house."
"You two sound like a married couple."
" Draco, my love,my light, mother of my childre-- ow! don't hit me you swine! I was trying to tell you I forgive you. Now I'm going to inform the proper authorities. Cedric! Draco hit me!" Cedric sighed and closed his eyes. He rubbed his temples as though he had a migraine.
"Don't hit your husband Draco, you are his wife. Have some respect." Draco made some kind of indignant noise that sounded kind of real-life before storming back to Slytherin table. Harry could not stop laughing.
"Brilliant Cedric! Absolutely brilliant."
A/n, yet another short chapter (many apologies) but the Wi-Fi is still being temperamental where it was just fixed. Hopefully the next chapter will better suffice, as this was pretty much just a fuller chapter. I hope you had a good day ♥
