Phil's Point of View
The whole time Dan and I were working on our audition tape for the Amazing Race I just kept looking at him. His eyes were to die for. A girl would kill for them. They kept you mesmerized.
"So I'm Phil!" I started off the tape with a short introduction of the two of us.
"And I'm Dan the man."
"No, Dan..." I laughed at the not so unusual projection of his patented weirdness. How did I manage to find this amazing weirdo? Ha, I wish...nevermind.
"And we are Team Phan! You might know us as Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil on YouTube," He told the camera.
"I make videos about things that have happened to me in my life." I stated
"And I make videos about all of the reasons why I am a failure as a human being." Dan said with an unflattering smile. Really it wasn't, but he probably thought it was.
We talked to the camera a bit more about what we do on YouTube, where we live, (not in a creepy way) and why we want to be on The Amazing Race. I didn't think we needed to edit a lot out, just put things in.
I shut off the camera and took it off the tripod.
"Phiiiillll." Dan whined from the bed.
"Yeah?" I glanced from the camera.
"Can we go get food or something? I really don't wanna cook." He whined, looking up at me with his best puppy-dog eyes. He knew I couldn't say no to those.
"Sure." He got up from the bed and we headed for the door.
"So. Where to?" Dan asked.
"Nando's? Its a short walk from here." I suggested while I grabbed the key to our flat and my wallet. Dan walked around me to the other side of the table to grab his wallet as well. " No, this is on me." I insisted.
"No, I am the one who wanted to go wanted to go out in the first place, so I'll pay."
"Dan, I got it. Lets just think of it as a thank you for the idea of auditioning for the Amazing Race!"
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"It's fine." I gave him a reassuring smile. "Look at us, arguing over who'll pay before we even leave the flat!" I chuckled. He smiled at me.
"Let's a go, I'm hungry!" he was such a dork sometimes. I love it.
We both walked out the flat, going down the stairs and shutting off the light.
"So...many...stairs..." Dan huffed.
"You can make it to the 4th stair, Dan!" I responded, jokingly.
"Go on...without me....Phil...."
"Come on, Dan, you can do it!"
He went down the stairs and looked kind of, worn out. He sat down on the bottom step.
"You have won The Hunger Games!" I say in my best announcers voice, " Now you may have infinite fortune and a half-eaten pickle!" I contine.
"A wh- you know what? Never mind." He said getting up from where he was sitting.
"Ok, lets go, Dan." I said, both of us heading towards the door.
