She decides to act normal like
nothing actually happened but stepping into their rooms brought back such memories, she so wished she could take a pill and forget everything instantly. She packs a little of her luggage and moved to one of the guest rooms. Her kids, the servants all gets fussy and curious to know why she moved but she gives a flimsy excuse which they didn‟t quite understand, but with a strong resolution, decided not to make mention of it again. What she didn‟t know was they already knew but pretended no to.
As she stepped into the office, he
noticed her insolute depression and
inward pain which she tried to conceal so hardly. To others she could lie and pretend but not to him. He knew her so well like a fortune teller or a magi.
Wondering who the mysterious guy is? Malakai was his name and he was just a colleague to Ashley but to him, he wanted more. At different times,
different venues and in different ways he had tried tirelessly to get close to her despite knowing she was married but always shunned him off. If only she knew he wasn‟t what she thought of him, he just wanted to be her close friend. Despite knowing she was
actually going to shun him off, he
decided to talk to her.
He walked into her office without
her noticing because she was totally
lost. She looked up when she felt a
presence and saw him. “I need to be
alone” she said, “why?” he asked. No
response. “look, I know you‟ve got
serious problems, I can tell by your
looks. I guess it‟s your marriage issues”
he was saying before she cut him off
“it‟s not what you think, I and Walter have built our lives together. I love him and he loves me, even though he‟s not always the most faithful of the husbands”, she stopped midair, realizing what she just said. He felt pity for her and felt she needed to know about the Thursday meetings which he held at the Armenlan restaurant. He invited her for dinner and she willingly accepted. It was Thursday.

That evening, she swore to herself
that she was going to avoid Walter at all possible cost. She went into the guest room (her room for the meantime). She tried sleeping but couldn‟t sleep.
Anytime she lay her head, she saw both of them making out with so much passion, she often thought the
imaginations continually stabbed her.
She got up, took a shower and was
looking at the mirror. “How could you have left me for her” she sobbed. “I just need a very tight hug that would make me forget everything and someone to give me solace and comfort”. She thought to herself then quickly remembered Malakai‟s offer of dinner at the Armentan restaurant. She quickly pulled a gown and rushed off.

He didn‟t want to come home, guilt
flooded him and made feel so
intoxicated. At work he couldn‟t
concentrate, he felt like everything was falling apart gradually and he couldn‟t do anything about him. He was in a bar Hemingway looking up at the billboard which read “one drinks a single cocktail  three times; once with the eyes, once with the nose and lastly with the palate, as everyone who has tasted his fabulous cocktail can confirm”. He sipped his wine slowly and felt the sudden sharpness of the wine on his tongue. He drank more filled with the sense that his wine was to soothe the guilt the guilt he felt within. The bar was filled with people of all sorts mostly lovers. His bloodshot eyes saw a young couple making out passionately at a corner in the bar. Unknown to the lovers, they stared up the guilt and pain
in him. He felt so lightheaded and very dizzy, he was almost falling when someone caught him.

Nessa looked at him as he lay like
a helpless fool. She wanted to shout at him to tell him how pitiful she was when she remembered he was her father. She was in her room when the phone call came in from a stranger then she went to the bar with the driver to pick up her dad. “he has never got drunk before look he what he brought upon himself” she cried. She really needed her mum
right now to tell her it was alright and everything was going to be fine. For the first time in her life she felt so lonely, she missed her mom.
