Naegi woke up in his room with a slight headache, he got up and went pale with what he saw. Claw marks everywhere, tattered pieces of clothing on the floor, and blood. Naegi quickly changed seeing that his clothes were ripped too and went outside where he saw bloody paw prints and more claw marks along the walls, he was very pale at the time he arrived in the cafeteria. Everybody was huddled around a large puddle of blood and more bloody paw prints. Kirigiri caught sight of Naegi and went to talk to him, she asked him if he knew what made the tracks and the bloody mess to which Naegi replied with "I don't know", not mentioning the sight that he woke up to that morning. The pair later went searching for clues that would help them apprehend the person or creature but came up empty-handed as with everybody else who searched for clues about the mysterious night guest. After a whole day of searching, nothing came up and everybody went to sleep. All except Naegi who felt as if adrenaline was rushing through his veins at that very moment, he took a step and he blacked out.
Naegi awoke to more carnage this time, there was blood, small bits of meat, and ripped fabric strewn all across the room which he later identified as the science lab, he also noticed that he was naked so he ran back to his room before anybody woke up, he started to wonder why he was waking up in these situations but quickly dismissed those thoughts just as he finished changing. As soon as he reached the dining hall, he knew something was off, nobody seemed to talk today and it didn't take a genius to find out why. They probably assumed that someone had been murdered due to the carnage in the lab. Monokuma's voice was later heard accompanied by the bear himself. "It looks like this game has gotten a whole lot more interesting, it seems like there's a monster on the loose at Hope's Peak. I guess you either find the monster before it finds you." With that said, the bear disappeared without a trace and left all the students wondering what he meant by monster while Naegi became pale as a certain reality was slowly starting to sink in for him, a very unplesant reality at that.
