You laid in bed nursing a nauseatingly horrible migraine, your 9 month old kitten purring at your fingertips. A small smile formed on your lips when you stroked the ginger animal's soft fur.
Your boyfriend Rami had given you the kitten for your 6 month anniversary. He knew you held a deep love for animals, especially cats. Since you were a big Queen fan, you named the cat Oscar, after Freddie Mercury's ginger cat. When you were around ten years old, your dad introduced you to the album News of the World, and from that day on, you had been in love with Queen.
'Las palabras de amor, let me hear the words of love. Despacito mi amor, love me slow and gently.'
Your loud ringtone pulled you from your trance. Groaning, you stretched out an arm towards your nightstand to answer whoever was calling. You pressed the green answer button, then put it on speakerphone.
"Hello?" You asked grouchily, your head pounding.
"Y/N, love, are we still on for tonight?" Rami's soft, soothing voice filled your ears. You immediately perked up a bit.
"Rami, I would love to, but I'm not feeling well, my head is killing me," You frowned, wanting to spend a night out with the love of your life.
"Well in that case, I'll be right over."
You opened your mouth to say something, but he had hung up before you could reply. You huffed to yourself and threw your phone onto the bed beside you. You fought to stay awake, but you felt the unbeatable drowsiness taking over you, most likely from the medication you were on. Your eyes slowly drooped further and further down, the world no longer anything but a blur, until they shut and the world around you became nothingness.
rami's pov
I didn't bother knocking on her door as she was probably too unwell to get up. I knew that she kept a spare key in one of two hanging baskets by her door. I reached into the one on my left and dug until I found the silver key covered by a thin layer of dirt. After unlocking her door, I entered the small house, the sound of my shoes clacking against the hard wood floor the only thing audible in the dead silent room. Scrunching my face up a bit, I closed the door behind me after slipping my shoes off, and made my way to her room.
"Y/N?" I softly said, tapping my knuckles ever so lightly against the wooden door to create a sound that was loud enough to hear, but hopefully not hurt her poor head. When she gave no reply, I slowly twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.
She looked so beautiful asleep like that. She looked awfully pale which was concerning, but that didn't let her beauty falter. Her white and pink patterned comforter covered her from the waist down, revealing her black A Day At The Races t-shirt that was a few sizes too big on her and made her look tiny. Her kitten that I got her, Oscar, was watching her carefully from her side like he knew something was wrong and he was waiting for her to make the slightest movement.
I dropped the bag holding the chicken noodle soup and several snacks that I brought for her, and approached her sleeping body, cupping her face with one hand and pressing a kiss on her cheek.
Normally, when you kiss someone on the cheek, your lips meet a surface that is soft, warm and full of life. My lips met the opposite. I didn't think any of the lack of snoring coming from the still girl. She always snored. Not like thunderous snores, soft little snores.
I immediately pressed my ear to her nose to check if she was breathing. Nothing. I put two fingers at her neck to check if she had a pulse. Nothing.
"Y/N! Wake up!" I screamed, tears spilling down my cheeks. I placed my hands on her shoulders and shook her lifeless body aggressively, my eyes wide and teary. She gave no response.
My breathing became erratic and my world spun like mad. I knew I was screaming at the top of my lungs, but I couldn't hear a thing. Black spots formed over my normally clear vision and my body began to crumple towards the ground uncontrollably. Her face was the last thing I saw.

Cause of death: Cerebral Hemorrhage-
Rami never recovered from your death. He went on to play Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic just for you. He knew you would've loved the film if you had gotten the chance to see it. Every single night, he would religiously open his window and speak to the sky in hopes of you hearing him. He'd tell you all about Bohemian Rhapsody and the amazing friendships he'd formed with the cast, how his day was going, how Oscar was, he'd basically get everything off his chest every night without fail.
He never fell in love again. If anyone asked why he was still single, he'd reply with, "I'm not. I'm in love with the most amazing girl I've ever met." Besides, he didn't need anyone else; he had his best friends Ben, Joe and Gwilym. And of course, his lovely cat, Oscar.
You were watching him every step along the way. You watched him as he jumped in joy after receiving the call where he was told he had gotten the role of Freddie. You watched him sob as he spoke at your funeral. You watched him grow in fame after the release of Mr. Robot and especially Bohemian Rhapsody. You watched him as he grew old. You waited for him for many many years.
Until eventually, you two were reunited.
