The lost alpha

Chapter 1

Kaitlyn

I woke to find it was already 6 am and I was late for training. I jumped up to get out of my bed and rushed to my closet to get a pair of leggings and a sports bra. As I went to walk out the door i caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and my hair was all over the place so I grabbed a hair bow and put my hair in a high ponytail.

As I was running down the stairs my little brother Greyson tripped me and ran out the door as I screamed after him. I felt a stinging pain on my knee and saw blood "fuck" I said as it was starting to heal.

I got up to sprint out of the door and my mom yelled out "you're not leaving till you eat breakfast" I groaned and went to the table to see and elaborate spread of bacon, ham, eggs, toast, grits, and biscuits. I quickly grabbed a piece of toast and sprinted out of the door toward the open field about an hour from my house near the pack house.

When I finally saw the field in the distance I was knocked off my feet. I quickly got up in fighting stance and saw a golden wolf with a lopsided grin on its face. I knew that wolf from anywhere it was my long time crush Jeremy Holden the alphas son. I heard the sound of bones popping back into place, I looked and instantly turned around from the bare man in front of me as he laughed I playfully told him to piss off. "You know you can't resist my charm Kate" I hated it when he called me that he knew it bothered me but he did it anyway I groaned and said "you know I hate that Grey" he turned my around and hugged me taking in my scent and I shuddered with pleasure under his big arms "well I love it, it's a cute nickname".

As I heard the sound of paws hitting the ground I realized training had finished up and I knew I was going to be in trouble.

I went to find Alpha and apologize but when I made it to him he was talking with other wolfs. I waited till he was finished and tapped him on the shoulder. He slowly turned to look at me and was surprised to see me there. "I thought I told you not to come to training today" he said "but Alpha I can't stand to stay at home while I could be improving my fighting skills" the words came out before I could choke them back down "are you disobeying your alpha" he was angry now "no sir" I squeaked. His face softened and he said "it's your birthday I asked you to spend it with your family and get ready for the mating ceremony tonight" I looked at him blankly and said "you know I don't want a mate, I'm scared to meet him what if he rejects me" he looked shocked for a moment but gained composure "he won't reject you, your a betas daughter. That's right under an alpha. Why would he reject you?" I had a mental fight with myself and said "I don't know". "Go home Kaitlyn" he said looking me in the eyes. I turned and started running shifting into my white and gold wolf Rena and ran all the way home.

When I got to the house I didn't even bother shifting back. The back door was open and the smell of deer was trailing out of the house. As my mouth watered I entered the house, my paws hitting the floor board making tracks of mud and dirt. I looked to the kitchen as my mother was walking toward me a look of anger on her face she bellowed "SHIFT". I did as I was told and she threw clothes at me I caught them easily putting on the black jean shorts and white crop top she looked at me and stalked up to me with rage grabbing s mop and tossing at me. "Clean this up I just mopped" she said I looked at her and sighed knowing she is in a mood. She only cleans when she's in a mood. I silently started mopping up the mud and dirt. When I was done I threw the mop down and went to my room to put some shoes on to go shopping for my gown. I grabbed my phone and texted my best friend Aubrey

Me: get ready we are going to the mall to look for gowns for the mating ceremony. I'll pick you up in 20.

Aubrey: alright! Ily. We are going to look so hot !

I smiled down at my phone. She always knew how to make me smile even when I was in the worst moods. I grabbed my black vans and my keys and walked down the stairs to my Porsche. As I unlocked the door and got in my phone vibrated singling that I got a text. I picked up my phone to check who it was from and of course it was Aubrey. I unlocked my phone and looked at the message but it was just a picture of what she was wearing. I told her it looks great and started the car. I got to her two story house earlier than expected and texted her to come outside.
