Rome's Pov:

"You look nervous." I turned my head to face Ezekiel, who was watching me with intent eyes.

I stared blankly at him, "I am not nervous."

He shrugged and leaned himself deeper in the car seat. "You are."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "I just told you I wasn't."

"I don't know," He drawled out, "You even sound pretty nervous."

I ignored him and returned my gaze to the fast-moving scenery outside the car, we had just come back from Romania and we were on our way back to the castle. And after an unbearable plane ride with him, now I was stuck in the confines of a car with him sitting next to me.

"I mean even your voice in wavering." He continued, trying to incite a reaction from me.

And a reaction he did get, "My voice is not wavering!"

He raised his eyebrows and widened his eyes. "Okay, Romeo."

There's the damn nickname again.

I was pretty nervous, but after his mockery of me, I wasn't about to tell him that. Doubts about our ordeal swarmed through my head. What if they don't accept him because he is a werewolf? Does that mean my chance for the crown will be diminished?

He faced the window, but his head was tilted upwards looking up at the cloudy skies threatening to pour a downfall of heavy rain above us.

"Lovely weather, huh?" I attempted small talk, though this. . . man caused more headaches to occur than ever in my life.

His shoulders started shaking and I heard small snickers from him, he turned slowly and I watched as his face turned red. "What did you just say?"

"Huh?" I questioned, "I just asked you about the weather."

He burst out laughing, "Weafer?" He repeated in a mock accent.

I rolled my eyes and faced away from him, small talk isn't possible with this man.

He shifted in his seat, turning to face me completely causing me to turn my head slowly as I felt his gaze on my face. Once my head was turned he didn't waste a second before speaking.

"Can you say 'wanker'?"

I gasped loudly at him, and his face immediately dropped that boyish look. "That. . . you. . .oh my God." I scoffed and turned away from him.

The partition dropped down and the driver in front of us spoke before Ezekiel could.

"Lady Rome, we will be arriving at Soroca in less than five minutes." He informed.

I nodded, "Thank you." I started patting down my shirt to make the non-existent wrinkles disappear that's when I realized that we weren't dressed appropriately for arrival. I facepalmed, the sound causing my mate to open his mouth.

"What's up?"

I raised my hand, "Nothing," I knocked on the partition to signal the driver's attention. "Don't drop us off near the entrance, drop us behind the maids' headquarters," I informed him and pulled out my phone.

"Oooh," Ezekiel added, "Spicy."

I put the phone to my ear, "Spicy?" I repeated, but before he could tell me what he meant Valentine picked up.

"Hello?" He spoke into the phone.

"Val, I need you to do a small favor. Tell Camille to arrange an outfit for me." I glanced at Zeke who was playing a game of thumb wars with himself. ". . . and for my mate." I furrowed my eyebrows at seeing him assault his left thumb.
