Daddy's on stage - Shawn Mendes

Chapter 11

The next morning we are having breakfast when there's a knock at the door, so Shawn gets up and gets it, he opens the door to see Brian and Andrew standing there
"Brian, Andrew What are you doing here!" Shawn says happily hugging them
"We came to see You bro" Brian says

They come in and I hug and say hello, I then go and bring Jess down to see them
"She's so cute man, congrats" brian says
"Wow a little Shawn and y/n right there" Andrew says laughing

We talk for a while and then me and Brian go upstairs to change Jess's nappy while Shawn and Andrew stay downstairs

Me and Shawn convince Brian and Andrew so stay overnight in the Spair rooms, and that night we have a mini party lol

Once they have gone to bed me and Shawn put Jess to sleep and then go to bed

"So Andrew was talking today about doing a show" he says
"Oh yeh" I say
"He said that he thinks it would be good to do one show soon you know just too keep things rolling but he said it's fine if we don't want to because of Jess and he wouldn't make me tour or anything until we are ready"
"Shawn I think it would be great for you to do a show, your fans have missed you" I say "where did he want to do it" I ask
"Well he thought I should do it in Toronto but i don't know" he says
"Well I think it's a great idea, then Jess will get to see your home and you can catch up with your friends, have a mini holiday" I say
"Really your ok with it then?" He says
"Yes I love the idea," I say and kiss him
"Great" he says
"And when were you thinking for this show" I ask again
"Andrew said whenever we want" 
"Well how about in a month then, that gives us time to get used to looking after jess and for you to do the marketing" I say
"Yeh that sounds awesome I'll talk to Andrew in the morning" Shawn says

We smile and kiss and soon fall asleep

Fast forward a month to the day of the show and we are in Toronto in our appartment
"Morning babe" I say to Shawn
"Morning hun" he reply's
"Ready for tonight" I ask
"No not really I feel like this is the first time I've done this" he laughs

We get to the venue and have some lunch before Shawn does some sound check and I catch up with Aaliyah

Just before The show starts Shawn comes over to me and Jess
"Look at our little bub with her baby earmuffs she's so cute" he says
"Good luck daddy" I say giving him a kiss as he goes on stage

The cheer is as loud as I've ever heard it and me and Jess watch from the side

A bit way through the show Shawn stops and talks with the crowd
"Wow thank you guys, its so great to be back on stage I've missed you guys" he says "because as you know I've Been taking a bit of a break due to the birth of my beautiful baby daughter Jess, who is here today for her first ever show" he continues and looks at us as everyone cheers
"You know what, actually ash, can you come out here for a minute" Shawn says so I walk out on stage holding Jess and smiling at the crowd

I pass Jess to Shawn give him a kiss and walk back off

"Everyone this is Jess" he says holding her up

"Now Jess has her baby earmuffs on so she won't hear this but this song is an old one, it's called 'never be alone' and I need you all to sing along" Shawn says

"I promise that one day I'll be around I'll keep you safe I'll keep you sound, right now it's pretty crazy and I don't know how to stop but slowing down"

Shawn continues to sing and I can see Jess smiling

At the end of the song Shawn runs Jess back to me to hold her for the rest of the show

After the show Shawn comes down and fall on the couch holding Jess up in the air
"Hello baby girl, did you like daddy's show, I think you did" he says in a cute voice

I fall on top of them and give Shawn a kiss
"I liked daddy's show too"
