I dropped a glass of jam this morning. I took this as a sign that I needed to update.

"So, Haz. What should we do on our first day of freedom?"

When Louis said the name Haz something stirred in Harry. When Louis wrapped his arm around Harry something even deeper stirred.

Ever since Harry woke up to Louis's singing in the shower something was off about him. He had stepped out of bed eager for the first time. He was practically glowing.

"Let's just hang out?" Harry suggested, biting his lips as he poured himself a glass of orange juice, Louis's arm still draped around his shoulders.

Louis was shocked. He expected a shrug, a half hearted "I-don't-know" even. But Harry actually implied that he wanted to hang out with Louis.

"Yeah," Louis mumbled. He was beginning to get hopeful, and he could only pray that he wouldn't be let down by Harry. "I'll make breakfast. You should go shower."

Harry nodded, sipping his juice as Louis removed his arm from Harry's shoulder. He couldn't help but feel the warmth leave him as Louis placed his arm at his side.

While walking up the stairs, Harry analyzed the fact that Louis had not cooked breakfast for Harry in a while. Louis had not done a lot of things for Harry in while.

Harry bounded down the stairs, towel in hand as he ruffled his wet curls.

Louis had already set the pancakes on the table and cups of tea at each place setting. He smiled brightly from the his seat at the table. They hadn't sat for breakfast in a while-Harry usually slept through it.

"I put chocolate chips in them," He grinned, as Harry draped his towel on the chair and took a seat. He sighed as he lifted his utensils, not wasting any time as he dove into his breakfast. It was amazing, but not as amazing as seeing Louis's smile as he watched Harry eat. Harry felt proud, proud that he had made Louis smile. Louis hadn't smiled at Harry with such happiness in a while.

"I've missed you," Louis blurted before he knew he was talking.

"Yeah," Harry said with a mouthful of food. "I've missed you too,"

They meant it. They had both longing for some sort of contact with each other that didn't involve tears or yelling.

Louis quickly washed the dishes, excitement bubbling within him as he thought about sitting down and watching a movie with Harry.

Harry had already nestled on the couch, a beany pulled over his messy curls. He picked at his nails as he waited for Louis to be done.

Louis didn't know why it was that he was so excited. Maybe it was because Harry was slowly becoming happier than he'd been in a long time. Or maybe because Harry actually wanted to be around Louis. Or maybe because he was hopeful that Harry would want to talk.

Louis plopped down next to Harry, making sure not to get too close. Harry didn't like to cuddle as much as he did before. But Harry slowly leaned back into Louis, sending tingles down both of their spines.

Louis tentatively wrapped his arm around Harry's waist and sighed audible as their bodies melded together. Warmth filled Louis, and he frowned at the new feeling. Why did all of a sudden feel so... Full of warmth and love?

Harry pressed play on the control and the movie came on. It was a comedy of some sort, but Louis's focus was not to the movie.

His focus was on the way that Harry's mouth opened wide in a grin as he laughed at every joke. His focus was on how every time he thought something was funny, he'd elbow Louis to make sure he'd seen it.

He focused on the way his eyes lit up everytime he laughed. Louis had never noticed that before. To be honest, Louis hadn't ever realized how beautiful Harry Edward Styles was. And thinking about it, Louis realized he wouldn't be afraid to say it.

The was Harry's perfect teeth formed a smile, the way his dimples made fuzzies form at the pit of every ones stomachs when they saw them, the way his eyes changed color from time to time. The way his curls bounced as he shook with laughter. A loose curl hung in his view and Louis fought the urge to brush it back for Harry.  Even the faint speckles of acne on his forehead made him beautiful. It was impossible to think otherwise.

Why was Louis just noticing this?
