"I got the job!" Kay said walking out on her phone.
"That's amazing baby. I know when you had to walk away from the team that nearly killed you, but now you are back to your true love." Kay's mom replied.
"I know mom. I love you and I'll talk to you later. " she hung up and sat down waiting for Jessie who was interviewing with the company downstairs. She was scrolling through her phone when Erik came running down the stairs.
"Ms. Lurch, thank goodness I found you. I forgot we needed to get your photo and some more information so we can make your key card to get into the building." he said leaning up against the door.
"Oh okay. Well lead the way then." she said picking up her purse and following Erik. They walked back into the office and Kay sat her stuff down on the table next to the key card maker.
"Jeniffer can you please come in here and get Ms.Lurch set up for the key card while I get her other things she needs?"
Erik said loosening his tie.
"Of course boss." Jeniffer grabbed Kay's hand and told her to stand in front of the camera. "Smile if you want!" Kay did and went back to the couch. "Ms. Lurch I can tell you're going to be an amazing fit here." Jennifer said typing at the computer.
"Thanks Jeniffer. Also you can call me Kay, Ms.Lurch is my mother. "
Jeniffer smiled and handed her the new I.D.
"Ms.Lurch, I mean Kay, ..." Erik said correcting himself, " tomorrow we have a company meeting with a local high school team and wanted to know if you would join us?"
"I would love to. Do I meet you guys here or at the school?"
"Meet here and also bring a pair of workout clothes and wrestling shoes, if you still have them. " he joked
"Oh, I still have them. " she answered back. Kay picked up her bags and began to walk towards the elevator. Erik followed fast on her heels and hit the button on the elevator. "Kay, I am sincerely happy you are joining our team and I sincerely hope that you enjoy and stay with us. " Erik said standing next to Kay in the elevator.
"Well thank you Mr. Sly. I hope to not let you or your brother down. "
"Please call me Erik, Mr. Sly is my father. And I know you wont." Erik replied. Just then the elevator dinged and they both stepped off the elevator. Erik walked her to Jessie's car door and opened it up, "Have a wonderful evening Kay."
"You too Erik." Kay said closing the car door. Erik walked back into the building and went back up into the elevator.
"Someone has a crush." said Jennifer swinging her car keys around her finger.
"And , I know how to be professional unlike my brother. Besides she might not even be feeling me like that. " Erik said grabbing his briefcase. They both got on the elevator as Jen smirked.
"Okay, then. Boss man."
