"Carl, I have a question" My best friend of 16 years sighs.
I was texting my girlfriend Kassidi to come over as I hummed in response, "Yeah?"
She shakes her head, "Never mind. I can't" she sighed.
"What do you mean you can't?" I looked at her, my eyebrows kitted in confusion.
She raised her head to look at me, "Carl... I'm in love with you.. And I've always loved you. I still love you, but I never gotten the chance to say so. And now you're stuck with a psychopathic girlfriend, but I love you Carl..."
I laughed, "What?" I asked hoping she was joking.
But, she wasn't.
"Carl?" She asked, "Carl??"........
"CARL!" Kassidi yelled in my face.
"Oh, yeah babe?" I looked at her.
She had on a dress, "So, whatcha think?" she spins around.
I smile, "Beautiful, as always".
She giggles and kisses my cheek.
"So, how's the cunt of a best friend doing?" She asks, then adds "like I care anyways".
I cleared my throat, "Uh. Well, she's doing okay I guess? And we're not that good of friends anymore..."
"Oh, why?" She asked like she wanted me to be sad.
I got angry instead, "No reason baby, she's not here. But you are, and I love you" I kissed her forehead.
"I love you" She beamed, so I took her hand.
"I love you too, we'll be married soon".

I get a notification, and I check my phone.

I click it and see her and Carl kissing and her text said "Gonna get married".
Married? I couldn't breathe. No, this isn't happening at all.\
I went to Carl's contact.
