When Beau woke up in the morning, she turned on the TV. She flipped the channel to the local news channel to see if anything was reported. Specifically what she did. She got to the channel just in time to see the principal, Mr. Walsh. "And now, the principal of Sunnydale High School, Peter Walsh." The news anchor announced and held the microphone to his face.

"Dear parents, students, and staff of Sunnydale High School." Principal Walsh started. "Because Sunnydale High School is under investigation for Mr. Norman's unexpected Injury..."

Injury? Beau thought. So he's not dead, which is a good thing. But that means that he probably remembers what happened.

"All students and faculty will be relocated to Sunnydale Middle School. We don't have much information on this except that Mr. Norman is in critical condition. But we can assure you that he will be okay."

Beau got out of her bed and walked to her bathroom. She made sure she grabbed her phone on the way out of her room. Once Beau got inside her bathroom, she took a good look at herself in the mirror. The bags under her eyes were a sign of the lack of sleep she got; Her hair untamed; her room is a mess. She looked like a complete trainwreck. Beau needed to rest but she decided against it. She decided she needed to pay Mindy a visit.

After Beau was looking decent, she headed to the living room. When she went into the kitchen, she could hear her parents talking. Beau didn't pay attention to the words they said since it wouldn't be about anything important. She grabbed the cereal box that was sitting out and poured it into a bowl.

"What do you think happened to him?" Beau's mother asked.

"I don't know honey. I don't think it could've been an attack on the school. There would be more people hurt." Her father responded.

Beau grabbed a spoon and shoved it into her bowl. She was curious to see what her parents thought. "So who do you think did it? And what do you think happened?" Beau questioned her parents. She put a spoonful of cereal in her mouth after she asked that question. Her father sighed and continued to look at the television screen.

"I don't know," he said, rubbing his beard. "It had to be another faculty member or a student. No random person would go inside a high school- with the intention to hurt- and only harm one person. That wouldn't make any sense. So my final answer is a faculty member or a student."

"I mean," Beau's mother started. "Beau, honey, I really don't like hearing about this kind of stuff, so I don't know what to tell you. The security footage should show what they need to know."

"Like who came in and out of the classroom at that time." Beau's father muttered.

Beau got really tense listening to her parent's answers. She wanted to know what they thought, but maybe curiosity killed the cat this time. At least they didn't say anything about her being at school that night. "Hey, Beau, weren't you at the school when it happened?" her mother asked.

I thought too soon.

"Um, yeah mom, I was. Why do you ask?" Beau questioned.

"Did you see anything? I mean you were on campus so I was wondering."

Flashbacks of what happened popped into Beau's mind. She dropped her spoon into her bowl and placed it into the sink.

"No mom. Just because I was on campus doesn't mean I saw something," Beau stated. "I am going over to Mindy's house."

"Okay honey. Have fun."

Beau rushed out of the house, slamming the door behind her. She jumped slightly at the sound of it, but quickly pushed through it. Beau sprinted down the street to Mindy's house. As she approached Mindy's driveway, she noticed that there weren't any cars present. Beaus slowed down to a halt and caught her breath. She still had hope that Mindy was at her house.

Beau walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell. Her heart was beating out of her chest; she was sure the blood was rushing to her face. Beau took a deep breath as the door opened, revealing Mindy's father. He had a cigarette in is mouth. "What?" He barked.

"I came to see Mindy,"  Beau said. "Is she here?"

"You just missed her kid. Sorry."

"Alright," Beau sighed. "Thank you for your time."

Mindy's father closed the door. Beau stood there for a moment before leaving. She didn't know where else to go and Mindy never told Beau about her whereabouts. The thought of going home played in Beau's mind. She didn't want to go back just yet. Instead, Beau decided to go to her favorite place: the cinema. On her way there, she bumped into someone. Various items fell to the floor.

"I am so so sorry!" Beau apologized picking up some of the items and handing it to the stranger. "It's okay," he said. "You seemed out of it. Are you alright?"

"I guess I'm okay," Beau started. "I was expecting to see someone but they weren't home. So I was on my way to the movies."

"Is that so? What movie?"

"Not sure yet. Do you have any suggestions?"

"Hm. Have you seen The Purge yet?"

"No. What's it about?"

"Well, I will tell you on the way the movies."

"You're joining me?" Beau asked.

"If it's okay with you?"

"I don't know your name."

"My name is Erin. It's nice to meet you..."

"Beatrice. But most people call me Beau."

"So, Beau, about that movie?"
