-Normal POV-

Sailor Moon and the other scouts landed on the hospitals rooftop. They agreed on meeting up later and transformed back to their civilian forms. Serena sighed as she watched her best friends jump down to the sidewalk and send her a pitiful look before they left.

She hated pity. Why did people pity her when there are other people suffering too? Shaking her head, she got up and looked ahead. She sighed once more when she caught a glimpse of her house in the distance. Her eyes glazed over as all the emotions bottled up in her were about to burst out.

Why had the enemy targeted her family? Her innocent, loving family? How did they even find out her identity? Why did this have to happen to her?

She clenched her fist as all these questions ran through her mind. She could not stop the onslaught of tears pouring from her eyes.

She hated herself. She hated herself for not being able to protect her family. She hated herself for not being a good warrior, much less a great one. She hated everything about her.

'Oh well' She hastily wiped away her tears 'I'm not going to stand here and pity myself'

She jumped down to the sidewalk and walked back through the doors she just exited a few moments ago. She slowly walked to the receptionist desk.

"Umm.. Excuse me?"

"How can I help you Hun?" The nurse at the desk, Lydia, smiled at the petite teenage girl standing in front of her.

"Do you know where Ken, Irene, and Samuel Tsukino are?" Serena asked while twiddling her thumbs.

After Lydia told Serena the room numbers, Serena became anxious to see her family. Lydia stared at Serena's retreating form with a sad smile on her face. 'Poor girl'

Since Serena's parents were in the same room, she decided to go there first. She knocked softly on the door. When she heard an unfamiliar voice say 'come in', her face contorted in confusion.

Serena opened the door slowly. What she saw horrified her, her parents, pale and hooked up to a bunch of beeping machines, eyes closed.

"Excuse me miss...are you related to them?" The doctors voice snapped Serena out of her thoughts.

"Oh yes, I'm their daughter."

"Okay, well if you could follow me to my office, I would like to discuss with you their condition."

"Of course" Serena walked up to her parents and kissed each of them on their forehead.

After taking a seat in front of the doctors desk, they started to talk.

"Okay, so miss..."

"Serena Tsukino, you can just call me Serena."

"Okay Serena, so I am assuming you are Samuel Tsukinos sister, am I correct?"

"Yes"

"Okay, so your parents were suffering from exhaustion when they got here. Your father also has a sprained wrist. Right now, they are in mild comas."

"Both of them?"

"Yes, I am very sorry." The doctor sent her a look of pity.

Serena didn't know what to say. She could feel her hands start to shake. Her hands always shook before she started to cry, and she's been holding herself together for to long to break down now. Despite her efforts, a few stray tears managed to escape her eyes. She took a deep breath and wiped away her tears.

"And how's my brother?" She could hear the broken tone in her voice.

"He suffered a slight concussion, nothing major. He also has a broken elbow. He is resting now."

She only nodded her head, unable to speak. The doctor stood up and grabbed some papers from his desk.

"I'm sorry I have to cut this short, but I have other patients." As she stood up, he sent her small smile.

As they walked out the door, he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"You have nothing to worry about, your family is very strong, they will get through this. Before you know it, your parents will be back at yelling at you for whatever teenage thing you did." That made both of them chuckle.

As the doctor walked away, Serena made her way to Sammy's room. As she walked in, she saw Darien sitting in a chair next to Sammy's bed. It seems they were talking.

"Hey sis" Sammy said weakly turning his head to look at Serena.

"Hey Sammy" She put a fake smile on her face. Darien didn't buy it one bit. He always knows when she's lying.

"How are mom and dad?" Serena's smile instantly disappeared at that question.

"Sammy...." She gave Darien a look, asking him to let her talk alone with Sammy. He nodded and got out of the room.

Serena moved to sit next to Sammy on his bed.

"Listen Sammy.... Mom and dad are in a coma." She watched as his eyes filled up with tears, but all she could do was hug him and tell him everything was going to be alright.

---------------------

Once Serena finally got Sammy to rest, she went out to get Darien.

"Darien can you watch Sammy for a while? I have to go home and do something."

"Sure Serena... but are you okay?"

"Yea I'm fine"

"Okay..." He didn't want to let her go. He could tell she wasn't okay, but he knew she needed some time to herself.

--------------------

Once Serena got home she ran up to her room. All her sadness and grief finally released itself. She sobbed as she threw things around her room. She didn't care. She didn't care anymore. It was all too much. The fighting, the injuries, the restless nights, the energy loss. She let all the emotions out.

Finally, after an hour of throwing things, She slid down to her knees and cried herself to sleep.
