Tired

You wake up and rub your eyes to rid them of sleep. A childlike yawn rises from you as you sit up. It was another nightmare. They never seem to go away, and you don't know why. Before you can think too much of it, you turn on your phone. Watching videos always helps. Halfway through a Try Guys video, your eyes close again. You just wanted to sleep.

In the morning, you drag yourself out of bed. After falling back to sleep the night before, you had two more nightmares. You got very little sleep. You pull on jeans and a hoodie before attempting to put a little bit of makeup on. You drag a brush through your hair and attempt to smile in the mirror. Nope. Not fooling anyone. With a sigh, you trudge downstairs. Your parents already left for work, so you just grab an apple and your backpack before leaving the house.

Once at school, you meet up with a friend to walk inside. As you make small talk, you notice your crush talking to his best friend. "Hey, (Y/N). I think (C/N) is looking at you." You look away from (B/F/N) and turn to (C/N). He is looking at you. You can feel your cheeks turning pink, so you quickly look away. (B/F/N) laughs at your face, and you push them lightly. Once you get to your first class, you sit in your assigned seat. Students shuffle in, while (C/N) barges in talking to his friends loudly. He glances at you before sitting in his seat on the other side of the classroom. The teacher goes to the front of the class. "Today, we are changing seats." Some kids groan, seeing as they will have to leave their friends. Others cheer. You're too tired to say anything, so you just rest your head in your arms. "Alright, (Y/N), you sit there." (T/N) points to the back of the classroom. "And...(C/N) sit next to her." This is crazy. Can he tell I'm blushing? You try to stop your thoughts as he sits down. "Hey." His voice is so soothing, you could just fall asleep. You feel yourself drifting off...Something pushes your shoulder lightly. "You okay?" You look up to meet (C/N)'s concerned face. In your head, you can't stop thinking about how this is the first he's spoken to you. "Umm...(Y/N)?" "Sorry. I'm really tired. I didn't sleep much last night." He smiles at your explanation and nods in understanding. You both focus on the teacher, but you still feel his gaze from time to time.

At lunchtime, you start to wake up. By your next class, you are much more awake. The teacher changes seats, and (C/N) is in this class. However, you don't think anything of it. You already got more than you could ask for by having him sit next to you on the other class. "Okay, (Y/N) sit there and (C/N) sit next to her." You can't believe it's happening again. "Hey." His chuckle is like music to your ears. "Hi!" You respond peppily, which makes him laugh again. "You seem awake now." You both laugh at his comment. Your teacher clears their throat. "Do I need to move you?" You both shake your heads and say no, before turning to laugh. This is going to be a great class now.
