Shortly after I had arrived here, Hoodie and Masky were always at my side. They constantly were asking if I was alright, if I needed anything, so on and so forth. These boys were possibly the sweetest boys I know.
Even though I haven't been here long, nor do I know these two all that well, but they care for me a lot. They are the most family I have here in the messed up house, well besides Slender that is.
One afternoon, when Slender thought it was alright for me to leave the house, Hoodie and Masky took me out for a walk. They didn't tell me where we were going, so I treated it as a surprise. Which is exactly what it was.
We walked for a little while until we stopped, for no reason.
"Close your eyes, Janie," Masky tells me.
"Why?" I ask.
"It's a surprise," he replies.
See? So anyway, I obey his request and close my eyes. Both the boys took hold of each of my hands and lead my forward. I hear the jingle of a bell, and the temperer change to more warmer conditions compared to outside.
"Okay, you can open you eyes now," I hear Masky say from my right.
I open my eyes to a large room, a small number of tables with chairs, a large L shaped counter, and a display case of baked goods and cakes. The intoxicating smell of freshly baked cookies wafted into my noise causing me to drool a bit. Hoodie and Masky both kinda giggle at me, so I wipe the silva away with my sleeve.
"Wow! This place is amazing!!" I exclaim happily.
"I know you'd like it," Masky says. "Hoodie, you and Janie go find a seat, I'll get the cheesecake."
Hoodie nods and leads me over to a small table in the corner. Like a gentleman, he holds out my chair for me and pushes it in as I sat in it. Masky soon returns to us, three cheesecake slices in hand.
He sets one piece in front of me, the other in front Hoodie, and the last in front of himself as he sits down. The fluffy looking pale yellow slice was cut in a perfect triangle topped with whipped cream and a strawberry. For a bakery in the Underworld, oops sorry, the Under Realm, their baking looks really good.
I pick up the fork from the side of the plate and take off a small piece of the slice. I raise the tid bit up to my mouth, but stop when I notice Hoodie and Masky staring at me.
"Um, what?" I ask, feeling embarrassed from the staring.
"Oh sorry, didn't mean to stare, we are just being a wee but impatient is all. We really wanna know what you think," Masky says.
"Think of what? The chreesecake?"
"Yes! It's our favourite food, and we really wanna know what you think of it."
"Well, hold your horses and let me try some~!"
I pick up my piece again and put it in my mouth. My eyes shot open and then close in bliss. A "mmm" escaping my closed lips. I hear a small gasp from Masky, so I look up at him and tilt my head in a questioning manner.
"I'm smiling under my mask," he says with excitement in his voice.
"So why don't you take off your mask so I can see your smile?" I ask cheekily.
"What? No way! I don't take my mask off for anyone, not even you, Janie," he replies.
"Awe, but Masky~! Please? For me?"
"No."
"Mean-y pants."
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
This playful banter went in for a little bit longer before Hoodie polity asked us to stop. After we finished the awesome cheesecake, Hoodie, Masky and I went back to the mansion.
We spent the rest if the afternoon playing games, and noming on cheesecake now and then. I love my big brothers!
