New chapter. Let's start.
Hawk was used to going to the repair docks. He calculated that, on average, every two out of five missions, he was hit. And no matter what Abyssal hit him, he was immediately heavily damaged.
The others always called him a sneaky ghost, since when approaching the enemy, he isn't noticed unless they have reconnaissance planes or strong radar. He remains unseen until he engages the enemy. After that, they aim all cannons on him, since he poses the biggest threat to them.
He sat down in the far most dock, just in case anyone would show up. The coast was clear, so he relaxed. He thought about for how long he was already here.
"Four months," he quietly whispered to himself: "I've been here four months already."
"What was that?"
Startled, Hawk quickly dove his head under the water, hoping that the person who said that didn't notice him.
A few moments passed, nothing happened, when a hand went into the water and showed a thumbs up and pointed upwards, meaning "resurface".
Head above the water now, he saw the source of the question. A submarine. He didn't realize she was in the docks too, since she was submerged. She was also one of his first friends, the Japanese submarine I-19, also known as Iku.
"Why were you hiding, dummy? Didn't you see me when you came in?"
He shakes his head to say no.
"But didn't I tell you the last time that there a lot of damaged girls around base these days? That "special mission" really took a toll on everyone's morale and armor. But hey, at least we beat that Marshmallow and Sunburn Hime."
Hawk just laughs, knowing too well what she meant. Iku always knew how to cheer him up.
"So, why are you back in the docks so quickly? Last time you were here, it was... When was it again? Oh, right! Three days ago. Is the Admiral sending you back on missions already?"
He hastily nods and shows the cuts and bruises from the bomb explosion and shrapnel from the bomb.
"Oh, that's not that bad. You'll be out soon. Now, give Iku a big hug. I've been in here for the past day with no one around. I'm lonelyyyyyy!"
He smiles and hugs her. He doesn't mind her overly large breast almost pushing him away. Her wet school swimsuit sticking to his skin, he hugged Iku for a bit more and then went out of the hug.
"Oh, that felt nice. You're a very nice boy, Hawk," as she rubs his short golden hair. He felt like a puppy being praised and did not dislike it.
"Now, you know I have to ask. Look me in the eyes and tell me... Is there someone you find extra wonderful yet?"
He looks into her reddish pink eyes with his baby blue eyes and says: "Everyone."
But that wasn't the answer she wanted, so she pouts and pinches his cheek: "Why do you always say that? It's like you're not even trying."
He just shrugs and gets her to stop pinching his cheek. She'd been trying to get him to find a girl that he really likes. Not like a girlfriend, but someone he knows he can trust.
"Geez, when will you start being serious about that? But until then, I guess I can keep you to myself." A big smile formed on her face and before he could interject, he was face deep in submersible chest armor. (I don't remember if I cleared it up yet, but Hawk is 4'10" or 127cm, pretty short, which isn't a bad thing)
"Now, what to do while we wait?"
He just shrugs.
"Might as well just talk about your last sortie. How was it?"
He shrugs again, but this time with a big smile.
"Which ones did you sink? Lemme guess... A Ru?"
A thumbs up and gesture to keep guessing.
"A Wo-class and some destroyers?"
Thumbs down and then another up.
"Since you were hit by a plane, I'm gonna say a Nu."
Showing a 50/50 gesture, she figured he only damaged it.
"Well, no matter how many you sank, you were a good boy," as she pats him again.
*insert loud and annoying sound here*
"Time's up. Let's go, Hawk." She basically drags him with her to the changing rooms.
"Hey, are you busy later? If not, we can go for a walk or to Mamiya's if you want to."
He shakes his head, implying he was busy later.
"What? With whooooo?" Iku was immediately upset that her brother couldn't go with her.
He wanted to answer when someone called out to them: "Hey, Hawk, Iku. How's it going?"
Ise and Hyūga were walking up to them, Hyūga already holding her obsession, a Zuiun.
Left to right: Hyūga and Ise
"I'm guessing you're busy with them," Iku figured.
"Yep, he is. Come on, Hawk, Zuiun don't wait for anyone," Hyūga ripping him out of Iku's grip.
"See ya later, Hawk... I guess."
Sorry for this downer of a story. Word play also suffered. But I'm very busy and can't think of things very easily. Hope you enjoyed.
Anyway, BYEIIII!!!!
