"Alice!" I heard a voice yell from the stairs. I quickly ran out of my room to see what she needed. Usually it was only to help change the little ones she had watched from foster care.
"Coming!" I yelled as I trotted down the spiral stairs towards the first floor of our three story house. When I landed at the end of the stairs I saw that Cherry, held the mail for the day. I groaned, usually all I got was letters from my real mom trying to get in touch with me.
Cherry, is my adoptive mom. It's still a touchy subject that I'm not ready to talk about... yet. "I think you have a letter, but I didn't recognize the return address. So you might want to check it out." She handed my the envelope before handing me the next one which I knew what it was.
"I don't know why she keeps on trying. Doesn't she get that I don't want to talk to her. She left me." I ranted on as I ripped up the letter from her.
"She means well. You should let her in, read what she has to say. She's always going to be your birth mom." Cherry looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"Don't cry. You will always be my mom, I love you." I told her giving one of my famous hugs before walking back up the stairs. Once I got to my room I locked myself back in, flopping on top of my bed. I took a deep breath before reading the letter.

Dear , September 4, 2016
I have started this letter over and over again, but I don't know how to write to someone I don't know.. yet. I didn't want to sound like a creep so I decided to start like this. Probably wondering why I am writing to you. It's uhh.. a social project for work. Aft first I thought this would be kind of stupid, but I am always up for meeting new poeple.
So let me introduce you to myself. My name is Liam, just Liam for now, if that is okay? I don't want to sound rude or anything, and if I told you my last name, you probably wouldn't believe me and throw this letter in the trash. I am twenty-two years old and I live in London, England. Have you ever been? If you haven't, you should definately visit.
I have brown hair and brown eyes and a strange birthmark on my neck. What do you look like, if you don't mind me asking... I don't want to be rude. So what do you like to do? I like to sing, and dance. But I am terrible at dancing. My most famous move is the "One, Two, Three Flick." Where I move my neck and then flip my hair. It gets all the ladies, really, try it sometime. Unless you are a girl, then you could try it for the men. I don't know if it would work out for you. I also play the piano and guitar, can you play intsruments? I love turtles, they are my favorite animals. I reclecently bought a new one and I called her Leona. After Leona Lewis, I absolutely love her. She is just amazing, just like turtles. What is you favorite animal?
Hmm, I am running out of things to write about. So I guess I will stop writing here, and hopefully you read my letter and I would love to read a reply from you.
One more thing, how do you feel about Toy Story?
Cheers,
Liam x
