They are not here. Yegor checked his watch again. They are four hours late. Michael's not a late man, they would have been in New York by now. They're going to miss their flight if not. He paced back and forth, he'd yet to hear anything from his informant. For all he knew, the stupid kid could be dead.
Suddenly his phone rang. "What?"
A calm voice spoke. "They're not in New York at all. We can't locate them." Yegor clenched his jaw and moved to a more private area.
"What do you mean you can't locate them?" He hissed. Yegor was a man with a short temper, and his informant knew it.
The boy gulped. "We've checked every safe house we know of, we can't seem to find them. Our last update was two days ago and they were headed north to New England." Yegor ran a hand through his hair, completely frustrated.
"Find them dammit!! I want them, all three alive! Got it?!" He shouted. A few people looked at him curiously, but kept walking as if he hadn't spoken.
The boy in the other end trembled with fear. The poor kid was barely nineteen, working off debt his father had made with Yegor's men. "Yes sir."
Yegor hung up, grumbling to himself as he left the airport. He was going to search for those little bastards himself.

"Are you ready?" Perry asked from the doorway. Alex looked up and nodded, she grabbed her pillow and a few blankets off of her bed and followed him downstairs. They had been talking earlier and Alex discovered Perry had never built a blanket and pillow fort and slept in it.
She was going to change that.
Oddly enough, he agreed. Secretly, he just wanted an excuse to be with her a bit longer. It was very refreshing and relaxing when he spent time with Alex. He liked being in her presence and she didn't seem to mind his. He just hoped that this would continue when they got to Quistrea. He didn't want their relationship to change, unless for the better.
Alex tossed a blanket on the floor and another over the edge of the couch, tying the other ends to the wire she'd asked to be put up. Perry watched her in curiosity, until she turned to him and smirked. "Are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna help?"
He huffed. "What do you want me to do?" He had to pretend to be annoyed with her childish antics, he didn't want her to know that this was all very exciting for him.
She raised an eyebrow. "Are you giving me attitude?"
Perry pursed his lips and refused to answer her. For a sixteen year old girl, she was pretty intimidating. Sure, he could overpower her easily, but she is a woman and they are powerful beings by themselves.
"Didn't think so." She grinned and continued working. Perry let out a deep breath and walked over to where she was standing. He observed as she tied the corner of the blanket to the wire going across the room. She definitely knew what she was doing. When she finished, she smiled and turned to Perry. "What do you think?"
He gave it a once over. It looked like a blanket fort, that's for sure. He wasn't exactly impressed because it wasn't the most spectacular thing he'd ever seen, but nonetheless, he smiled. "It's perfect."
She beamed at him. "Thanks. Chelsea used to complain about them. She said they were childish." Alex admitted. She played with the hem of her shirt and looked at the floor.
Perry rolled his eyes, determined to make her feel better. "Who cares? Come on, let's get inside."
They both crawl inside, lying down beside each other. Perry on the left and Alex on the right, they didn't have much room to move round, so they were pretty close inside of it. Shoulders and sides touching. Alex flipped onto her side and Perry mimicked her, they faced each other.
"Awesome, right?" She asked smiling. He laughed and nodded, looking around the small fort.
"Definitely." He answered. Staring at her, her big brown eyes and dark hair made her seem so irresistible. Her full pink lip caught between her teeth, he wanted to reach out and pull it out for her. He wanted to lean in and kiss her. He really wanted to kiss her. He wanted to hold her face in his hands, cupping her cheeks, then kiss her like he's wanted to since the first time they met. The first time when her big doe like eyes, captivated him.
Hesitantly, he reached out and brushed hair behind her ear. His finger lingered on her face, tracing her jaw. His throat tightened as he traced her bottom lip with his thumb. A blush raised to her cheeks and she pulled back, looking down at his chest.
Perry bit his lip and lifted her chin. Her eyes widened as his lips parted. He was going to do it, he was going to kiss her. They both knew it, it reflected in each other's eyes. All Alex had to do was wait for him to make the move. So, she did, she looked up at him and waited patiently for him to kiss her. A warm feeling settled over Perry's body as he watched her. He brushed his thumb over her cheek and looked into her eyes, as if asking permission. Her breath hitched, then she looked down at his mouth. That was it. He was going to kiss her.
As he leaned forward, not so much as an inch between their lips, footsteps drew near. "Seven? Alexandria? Where are you?" Mike called out. Perry and Alexandria pull apart like they burned each other. They tried to put a bit of space between them as Mike looked inside, with a raised eyebrow. "What are you guys doing?"
Perry's face was flushed, his cheeks burning with embarrassment and want. Embarrassment for almost getting caught kissing his princess. And want for his princess. But Mike didn't notice.
"We, um. . .built a fort." Alex mumbled shyly. Michael raised an eyebrow.
He had seen what was going on, their silhouettes shown through the thin fabric of the sheets. He wasn't sure if they had actually kissed or not, but he's hoping he prevented it. "I see that. I've come to tell you there's been no word on Yegor, but I've decided that we are going to chance it and get a move on. We leave in two days." Then he walked away.
Two days. . .Alex huffed. That's all he'd had to say? Perry was about to, finally, kiss her and all Michael had to say was they were leaving in two days! Unacceptable! She has been dying for a kiss from Perry since she realized she was attracted to him, and Michael ruined it! She flopped down on the floor and glared up at the ceiling of the fort. She was so pissed.
"Alex?" Perry called. She didn't look at him, she just gritted her teeth. The moment was over, they would have to wait for another perfect moment to try that kiss again!
He watched her nostrils flare and her cheeks burn bright red in anger. She didn't look happy. Was she mad at him? He parted his lips to speak, but nothing came out. They sat in an uncomfortable silence for awhile, before Alex sat up and shook her head. "I'm going to bed."
Perry nodded. "Alright." His voice but a whisper. Alex looked at him and rolled her eyes.
"I'm not mad at you if that's what you think." She said, crawling out. "Night Perry."
Perry laid in the makeshift fort for a awhile, just thinking to himself. He'd give anything to go back and just kiss her quickly, even for a brief second, before Mike found them. He craved her kiss, he was dying on the inside, not knowing what she tastes like. But now, he'd have to wait. Maybe it's for the best that they do. Perhaps she hadn't wanted to kiss him, what would he do then? He'll just have to wait for that perfect moment. Even if it takes forever to come.
