Once we reach the Santa Monica Pier, we all buy wristbands for the rides in Pacific Park. We walk around and decide to play some of the carnival games first.

"Let's do this one." Chloe says, walking towards one of the carnival games.

We all take a seat at it, I look up at the neon sign above the game and see it called 'Balloon Blast.' I'm usually good at this game and use to beat mom, dad, and Chloe in it all the time.

The employee blows a whistle that signals us to start, and we all push the triggers and aim the water at the target. The balloons start to fill up the water and within a few seconds, someone's pops.

We all look down to see Aidan was the one to win. He picks out one of the stuffed animals and hands it to Chloe, who blushes.

"Damn Amelia," Christine says from beside me "I had my money on you for winning this game."

"You were close." Lucy says.

I laugh and wave my hand at them. We leave the game and continue to walk around the pier. After walking around and playing a few more games, Aidan and Chloe split from the group.

"We're also going to split from you guys if you don't mind. We wanted to go on the ferris wheel before the sun sets." Lucy explains.

"Oh yeah, you guys should go." I say Xavier, Blake and Christine agreeing with me.

"You sure?" Grayson asks.

"Yeah man, you guys go and have some alone time." Blake wiggles his eyebrows causing us all to laugh.

They walk away and now it is just us four. I'm lowkey happy that the two couples have left, because I've wanted to just hang out with Xavier, Blake, and Christine alone now for a while.

"What should we do?" Christine asks.

"Let's go on a roller coaster." Xavier suggests.

"Hell yeah!" I say excitedly. I have always loved the adrenaline that comes with going on a rollercoaster.

"I'll sit this one out." Christine says, immediately reminding me of her fears of rollercosters.

"What wrong? Are you afraid of them?" Blake asks her.

"Maybe." She says quietly.

"We don't have to go on one if you don't want to." I tell her. I don't want her to feel excluded.

"No, you guys go on it, I'll be down here, safe, and I can hold everyone's phones and stuff." She says, trying to convince us to go.

"I'll stay with you, I don't like them too much because they give me bad headaches." Blake tells us

"Okay, we'll go on one then after we can go play more carnival games and stuff." Xavier says.

We agree with that plan, and walk towards the rollercoaster Xavier picked for us to go on.

"You don't mind holding our stuff?" I ask Christine, once we get to the line for the ride.

"Of course not." She says, taking our phones and wallets.

"See you guys after the ride." Blake says, as he and Christine walk off.

Xavier and I have to stand in line for a little bit because of how long it is. The pier was a lot busier than I would have guessed, but I mean it is the end of September and a saturday.

"Since this friday it seems like only you and I don't have plans, do you want to go to the game together?" Xavier asks.

Damn, we really are about to spend some time together this week. "Sure, I just have to help Christine get ready for her date with Blake then we can meet up at the school or one of our houses."
