8 - The beginning without him

timeline #1 - kim seokeun

THREE DAYS PASSED and I am finally leaving the hospital. The bills had already been paid thanks to Dr. Yeo, and Hoseok, Jimin and Ryujin had decided to help me as I go back... home.

It really feels weird to say the 'h' word while knowing that my older brother won't be there waiting for me. So, while Ryujin and I are folding my used clothes that Jungkook got for two days ago, Hoseok and Jimin are learning about when I should be taking my medicine with Nurse Oh's guide.

"Wait... What time does Eunnie have to take this pill again?" Jimin asked for the nth time.

I bit my bottom lip from laughing out loud, but then I smiled, when Ryujin and I checked up on the two, older boys. Hoseok is already losing his patience at Jimin's repeated question while Nurse Oh explains once again to the young blonde boy. After another two-minutes explanation, Ruijin and I finished our job and stood beside Hoseok.

"We're ready," Ryujin tells him while holding onto my backpack.

The older boy faces us right away with a smile, letting Jimin talk to Nurse  Oh... once again. "You sure that you, girls, got everything?" He asked curiously like how Jin would.

I held back in the tears and spoke up, "Don't worry, Hobi oppa! We've packed everything."

"Alright then!" The 20 year old said with a thumbs up.

Ryujin and I smiled, and then Nurse Oh excaims, "Ms. Kim, Dr. Yeo has already signed for your release about an hour ago. You may leave anytime you want."

"I'd like to honestly go now..." I exclaimed gently, earning soft chuckles from everyone in the room.

"Then I'll have someone get you a ride," Nurse Oh said right away before bowing and leaving the hospital room.

My eyes went wide at what she just said, so I stopped her right before the door of the hopsital room closes. "AH! UM, NURSE OH!" I  called out loud. Then the middle-aged woman turns around with a confused look on her face. "You don't need to get us a ride. It's alright, but thank you so much!"

Nurse Oh smiles at me and my friends genuinely and laughs. "You're welcome, dear," She replies back. "Well, then I'll go now. Have a safe trip... and my condolences for Seokjin... Your parents would be so proud of the both of you, especially you, Seokeun."

Then she left right after saying my name.

"...Jin hyung would be proud of you, too," Hoseok whispers to me as Ryujin walks to the door.

I sighed at what he said and nodded. "I know," I whispered back. "And I guess he would like for us to continue leaving our lives..."

Then I thought to myself, "Even if it means it'd be without him again..."

Quick reminder to the back story of the Kim Siblings and BTS.

    Jin returned back to Seoul after he left two years "ago", and when he was gone the boys were all still happy and continued to contact each other. Eun didn't go to the States (or whatever country Jin went to) with him because unlike Jin, her studies were okay and she was doing way better than he did back in middle school. Aafter Jin left, Eun and the boys continued on with where they left off, missing the older boy, and lived happily. But when Jin returned back from the States, he told Eun to not tell their friends that he is back in the country. And Eun did just that, but then one day, Namjoon found out and went to see Jin. The two talked about it and Namjoon forgave Jin. A few days later, Hoseok found out when he was at the dance studio with Jimin, Ryujin and Eun. Ryujin had gone to the restroom while Jimin and Eun were memorizing a new choreo, when out of nowhere Eun's phone screen lit up, showing a text message from Jin. Hoseok saw the message and got angry at Eun for not telling him that his older friend is back. Jimin and Ryujin thought that Hoseok was angry at Eun for not being able to do a good job during their dance practice, so Jimin didn't know about the text message. That night, Eun had told Namjoon to talk to Hoseok before letting Hoseok talk to Jin about her brother's secret. So, Namjoon did what Eun had asked him, but in doing so Namjoon and Hoseok fought.

And this is why there was this conversation between  Hoseok and Namjoon in Chapter 5.

(Namjoon's POV)

Hoseok and I looked at each other, and we both smiled. "Let's forget what happened that night for now," I told him quietly, making sure that the two, younger boys won't hear me.

And then Hoseok shrugs at me. "I've already forgotten about it, Namjoon," He honestly told me. "But it was both of our faults."

I sighed. "'I know, I'm sorry..."

"And I'm sorry, too," Hoseok whispers back and pats my left shoulder.

They both apologized for what happened that night when they fought. But why did Hoseok say that it was both of their faults??

Hehe... You, guys, will just have to wait and see later on~!
