Eun raises her left eyebrow at me and laughs. "Are you jealous, Kookie?" She asked, teasingly.
I stopped walking and faced my best friend. Then I spoke up, "I'm not jealous."
"Mhmm..." Eun hums while sticking her tongue out at me.
She doesn't believe me...
I'm dead meat.
Then we both continued walking down the sidewalk and just when we were about to cross the street, we both saw an old lady tripped over a rock and had dropped her bag of fruits. I saw my best friend run to help the old lady up. I followed right after her and picked up the fallen fruits. Then just when I was about to pick up the last fruit which was an apple, I heard screeching of tires from my right side. I turned my head to face the sound and saw a moving truck coming down the street in a fast motion.
"Yah! Jungkook, what's taking you- JEON JUNGKOOK, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" Seokeun's voice rings out, bringing me back to my senses, but I was too late.
Or, so I've thought.
I felt someone shove me to the side and I landed on my back. I heard the moving truck hit someone and then I heard the old lady's voice.
"Omo! That young girl!" The old lady exclaimed out loud in worry.
