It's been two years after Nemesis' defeat. Ryuga had finally gotten cleared from the hospital to start training again. He felt the excitement leak through his bey, L-Drago. His limp had gotten better as his leg healed.

Kenta, who just turned 15 a few weeks ago, was beside him with Sagittario. He and his, not so secret, boyfriend (to close friends that is) were going to blade in the park. The boy's green hair had gotten a bit longer, and he had grown taller.

Kenta was giddy. He couldn't help himself. As they found a suitable area, the boys readied their beys.

"Don't push too hard, Ryuga."

"Don't worry, Kenta. I'll be careful."

"You said that the last time you bladed and ended up in the hospital again."

"I didn't mean to worry you. I just wanted to beat Kenji." He remembered that battle. The way Masamune was hurt triggered his anger. Before the battle, they had learned Masamune was his and Ryuto's younger half brother. He felt that instinct to protect his family and challenged their father.

Kenji was an American mafia boss who killed and raped for fun. He had an underground network all over the U. S. He tracked them down then all hell broke loose.

He wasn't here anymore. It's been almost a year since he's showed his face. For now, it was over. Now, he was with Kenta. And he's going to enjoy the present.

They stood a fair amount of distance away from each other, beys ready to launch. Then they shouted.

"3, 2, 1, let it rip!" Metal clashed as the beys were launched. Sagittario and L-Drago both felt excitement. The last time they battled like this was when Nemesis was around. This was a rematch to the beys. A rematch they waited for.

"Go! Sagittario!" The bey responded eagerly.

"L-Drago!" His bey countered the legendary power of Sagittario but just barely. The orange bey pushed the black and red bey towards the stone stairs they were near.

"You've gotten better, Kenta."

"Thanks! Ryuto and I trained a lot for the past two years."

"I can tell. Any special moves?"

"You just have to wait and find out!"

This was exhilarating. Beys clashing, the excitement, everything. This was perfect.

Sagittario and L-Drago battled fiercely. The dragon bey couldn't get a grip and ended up knocking into the stairs. It emerged and began to push the new legendary bey of summer slightly.

The climax of their battle was rapidly approaching. This was Kenta's moment to show Ryuga how powerful he was now. This was his moment to impress and make him proud.

Kenta raised his hand and silently called Sagittario. 'Sagittario, lend me your power!' The bey glowed an orangey color and took to the sky. Ryuga followed the bey with his eyes and couldn't help but smile.

Then he called,"Let's do it, Sagittario!" Sagittario's spirit shown. It was a male centaur nocking an arrow on fire. "Diving Arrow!" Sagittario ran and fired. The fire revealed the bey inside it just as it clashed with L-Drago.

Ryuga, then, unleashed his powerful dragon. His bey glowed a powerful red as he yelled,"L-Drago! Dragon Emperor Supreme Flight!"

Now it was the battle of the special moves. Each bey was trying to outlast the other. It was antagonizing to watch. Finally, the centaur gained an upper hand. The left rotating bey was knocked into the field as it lost its ground. Steam poured out the still bey.

It was over. Kenta won. He caught his bey with his gloved hand and waited til it stopped smoking. The boys looked at each other and smiled.

"Are you alright, Ryuga? Was that to intense?"

He shook his head. "That was perfect. I'm feeling fine, Kenta."

The green haired boy embraced his boyfriend. Ryuga embraced him and realize he had gotten taller. Kenta's head now reached his chest. Pretty soon they might be eye level with each one another.

Before they let go, Kenta's stomach growled angrily at him. Ryuga looked him in the eye with an eyebrow raised. Kenta smiled sheepishly. "I might have skipped breakfast..."

"Well, we'll go eat somewhere then."

"That sounds amazing." The boys placed their beys in their pockets and walked out of park. Instinctively, they intertwined their fingers as they headed for lunch.
