I was staring up at him, my jaw slack and eyes wide. He was still smiling, still tracing my jaw line with his fingers, still looking so fucking adorable. His other hand reached mine and he slowly, curiously intertwined our fingers and I was wondering why the hell I hadn't gone into cardiac arrest yet.

"You and me," he said softly, "Sometimes, I like to think that you and I could be great. You could be mine, and I could be yours and we wouldn't need or want anything or anybody else, don't you think? We could be a masterpiece."

I found myself nodding along mindlessly.

He chuckled, "You're blushing again, have I ever told you how fucking cute you are when you blush?"

"Uh..."

"Well, he said, pulling his hand away from my cheek and he tenderly tucked a strand of curled hair behind my ear, "You're really cute when you blush."

A bump on the plane causes me to shoot up from my peaceful dream. I breathe heavily as I recover from the sudden awakening.

"Elliot, are you alright?"

I peer over to my right to see my mother staring at me with a worried look written on her face. I slow my breathing and sigh deeply.

"Yes, I'm perfectly fine," I give her a warm smile and glance out the airplane window. "Do you have any idea where we're at?"

"Around fifteen minutes left till we arrive at Sacramento," She checks her watch, "Twelve to be exact."

I nod and stare down at the city below me. Thousands of tiny cars are driving all around on the highways- on the wrong side of the street might I add. America is so much different than the UK.

"Aren't you excited to see your brother? It's been too long. Sandra says he's all grown up, Violet must've finally got rid of his childness," Mum says starting to tear up. Oh god, not this again.

"Mum please don't cry over this again, it's quite embarrassing," I whisper staring around to make sure no one witnesses another one of my mother's dramatic cry sessions.

"Sorry dear, it's just all of my children are grown up now," She sobs quietly, wiping away her tears.

"Pull yourself together for just another hour and you'll see him in no time," I assure her giving her hand a tight squeeze. She smiles at me then turns to talk to my father.

A little over six months ago, Arthur called Mum over the phone and told her that he was getting married. She just about passed out, as well as my father. I just laughed my ass off because, there was no way Arthur was legit getting married.

Violet, his soon to be wife, asked me to be the maid of honor, and of course I said yes. I mean now I can embarrass Arthur in front of two hundred people as revenge.

Anyways, Arthur was supposed to get married to Violet in under twenty four hours. We packed our bags, and caught an early flight to California to arrive exactly one day before their wedding.

I was interested to see this mature side of Arthur, it just doesn't seem possible. But I wasn't interesting in possibly seeing someone that I haven't in so long.

Elliot Fintry.

"I'm going to go back to the States for my mom but.. I'm coming back for you."

Elliot Fintry never was the kind to keep a promise. I guess I couldn't have blamed him. He took the chance to runaway from me as fast as possible. To runaway from us.. if there even were such a thing.
