Chapter 9

Travis muttered "Katelyn...Have to protect...Katelyn..."

"Betty....What did you do!" Zane shouted.

Everyone stopped and stared except for Aaron and Katelyn, who was attacking him while he did his best to defend, though GF were still holding him back. Aaron, who had made his way out of the canon, got pushed in again, this time with Katelyn stopping him from leaving. The door suddenly burst open and Toby stepped in, holding a GF gun. He looked around and saw Katelyn attacking Aaron. Thinking she was on Michael's side willingly, he aimed at her and pulled the trigger. The bullet flew towards her.

"NO!" Travis shouted, leaping off the balcony, landing right outside the canon. Desperately, he ram to Katelyn and jumped in front of Katelyn, the bullet hitting him right in the heart.

"TRAVIS!" Katelyn yelled, her eyes turning light blue again "TRAVIS! NO!" Furiously, she looked at Toby "WHAT DID YOU DO! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" She ran forward, picking up the knife Aaron had knocked out of her hand on the way. Aaron ran after her, but all the GF were trying to hold him back. Katelyn reached Toby and stabbed him in the chest. He fell to the floor and she grabbed his gun. Blinded by rage, she began shooting randomly. A few of the bullets hit some GF, but most of them bounce off the walls and fall to the floor. One of the bullets narrowly miss Zane and another would have hit Aaron I he hadn't dodged it. Aaron eventually reached Katelyn, though he had to knock out some GF to do it, and grabbed hold of the gun so Katelyn couldn't shoot it.

"LET ME GO, AARON!"

"No. I know you're angry, but this won't make it better."

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW!"

"Aph....Aph died...Ein killed her..."

"I'LL KILL HIM!" Katelyn screamed.

"I-I have..." Aaron admitted

"Aaron, I-I...But the GF... They deserve to die. What they did to you, to Aph..."

"No. The GF are bad, but they don't deserve to die. No one does. If you kill them, it only makes you as bad as they are."

"You-You're right." Katelyn dropped the gun "Come on, they need help."

Aaron and Katelyn began to fight through the wave of GF.
