"HELP ME" shouted Glob at the top of his lungs. "I'M STUCK! GET ME OUT"

Glob was continuing to sink down into the mud. Soon he would suffocate under the mud and get sucked into the centre of the earth. The yard owner and a few other people came running over.

"Keep calm Glob, we're going to get you out!" shouted his yard owner whose name was Lulandio but they just called her Lu because Lulandio is a lot of effort to say and type. Everyone huddled around Glob and they held onto him under the arms. Glob closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"3, 2, 1 pull!" shouted someone. Glob felt his body momentarily sliding out of the hole. But then the mud sucked him back down again and he was even deeper than he was before.

"Oh no," said Glob. Soon his arms would be submerged and then he would be totally stranded. He would never get out. This was going to be the death of him he was sure.

Someone called Glob's mum and after one more attempt to get Glob out it was looking rather hopeless.

"We are going to have to call the fire brigade!" declared Lulandio.

"Oh golly," said Glob.

Glob's friend Big Chungus knelt down next to him.

"It's going to be okay Glob. The fire brigade will get you out." said Big Chungus.

"I hope they do..." said Glob. "WAIT where's Jewel !?!?!?!??!?!"

"Someone took her back to her stable," replied Chungus.

"Ahh phew," said Globglogabgalab.

Glob just had to sit and wait for the fire brigade to come to his rescue. It was a bit boring being stuck in a hole. Glob's mum had come and was waiting with him. Glob could feel himself sliding down slowly even deeper into the hole. What if the fire brigade came too late...

Finally Glob could her the shrill of sirens in the distance. He had never been that happy to hear that noise before. The fire brigade had brought a crane with them too to yeet Glob out of the ground.

The crane was brought into the field. A rope had been attached to the end.

"Okay Glob we're just going to attach you to this rope and hopefully it should pull you out," said a fireman.

Glob sat patiently as the rope was tied around his body. Someone jumped into the crane and turned it on. The crane made a noise and suddenly Glob was lifted straight out of the hole and into the air. Freedom at last.

The person inside the crane must have forgotten to stop pressing the up button or something and soon he was 30 feet above the floor.
