42. " arthit's death "

When forth and kongpob's car finally stop in front of the Coliseum the eerie quietness that filled the entire place makes kongpob to have all sorts of negative thoughts even though he doesn't like it one bit but those thoughts keep flooding his head as if like a plague.

He stays rooted to the spot he's standing meanwhile, forth already walking towards the entrance of the Coliseum however noticing that his friend is not following behind him anymore forth turn his heels and looks back at the frozen kongpob.

Frowning, forth calls out to kongpob. " hey, kong! Hurry! " kongpob flinches as he snaps back to reality. " huh? Eeh... Okay " he clenches his hand as he takes a deep breath before walking towards forth.

The moment they step in inside what they've arrived at are just ruins and the smell of blood, the two stunned and has a confuse asking look at their ' why the hell does this place became like this? ' ' is there a fight that had gone on? '

Kongpob runs in further inside of the Coliseum with urgency as he looked around searching for a certain boy that's nowhere in sight.

Arthit... Arthit!... Arthit! Kongpob keeps on mentally calling out of his lover's name but what he sees in the center of the coliseum shattered his heart in a million pieces. " Auntie! " he shouts and ran to Namtarn's dead body but the moment he holds her body kongpob's tears unconsciously fall on their own. " no... No way! Auntie! mae wake up... You're just joking around right?! Please, mae wake up! " Hearing kongpob words finally makes forth anxious as he hurriedly ran to where kongpob is.

His body froze at the sight as his tears started to gather in his eyes, his heart pounding so hard to the point it hurts him so much. " aunt... " his legs strength leaves him as he fell on his knees and kneels down as his tears finally fall while he tries to look away, refusing to accept the reality in front of him and notice the body next to Namtarn. " inspector nam... "

The two fell into grieving silence. After some time pass. Kongpob scoops up Namtarn's in his arms and stands up as if he finally wake up to the reality in front of him, he started walking and stop in front of forth. " do you know him forth? " his eyes on Nam's lifeless body.

Forth didn't answer as he still hasn't recovered from the shock and still in a daze. " forth! " kongpob shout Hoping to snap his friend out of it. " huh?!"

" do you know him? "

" yes... He's an inspector in our clan, mom said he used to be aunt's bodyguard. "

"...... Then, bring him in the car too and let's look for arthit... "

" uh-huh sure " forth moves fast and get Nam from the ground and carry him.

Forth and kongpob decided to split up to search the surrounding of the Coliseum, forth went for the right side of the Forest while kongpob in the back of Coliseum before he heads towards the left side of the forest searching for a specific someone, that person scent as their only clue. They both shifted to their werewolf form so that the could search faster and could smell the scent clearly.

Forth goes deeper in the right side of the Forest and as he did so he finally has caught a whip of arthit's scent, however, instead of being happy about it what he felt is dread and anguish... For arthit's scent is mixed with the scent of fresh and sicking blood.

A thought passes by his mind a very frightening and dreadful thought that sends shivers to his whole being... Did we arrive too late? It is not right chubs? You're still fine, right?

Forth sprint in the direction that arthit's scent was leading him... Until finally here arrive there... Where arthit's body lying quietly as if void of anything that's going on the surrounding.

What he saw makes his heart not only sinks in the depths of the earth but it also crushes his soul, sadness would be an understatement to how he feels right now. He howls loudly in agony as his tears fell to the boy's body whose he treated like his own blood brother.

Hearing the howled of agony from the right side direction of the forest halts kongpob's body from moving as his tears unconsciously fell, he knows right away that that howled means something... something terrible...

His four legs started to move on its own in the direction of that constant howling, clearly whoever it is that's howling is crying from pain and kongpob knows who is it... Even he himself doesn't want to acknowledge it, his body still moved on its own.

When he finally arrives there, his feet stop... It didn't want to take even a single step closer to the sight in front of him... What he sees is forth's crouch down in the ground crying his heart out while hugging arthit's dead body.

This reality doesn't seem to register to his brain as his mind keeps rejecting it... His brain doesn't want to accept and acknowledge it... That his mate is already dead and he... He didn't manage to protect him...

" kong! Kong! Snap out of it! " Inue keeps shouting to kongpob however, kongpob didn't react he stayed frozen, kongpob himself didn't notice the numbness that's running throughout his body especially at his heart. He felt as if time had stopped. Even he keeps saying to his self to move and go to where arthit... His feet aren't following his order.

And as though the heavens knows and sympathizing with kongpob's grievances the heavens started crying, wetting the dry grounds as if in an attempt to wash away the painful pain these two people are currently feeling along with the tears kongpob's shedding.

The next day, when everything has already been prepared they did a tree burials for Namtarn, Nam and of course... Arthit.

When kongpob and forth arrived at the suthiluck's household where they've brought the remains of arthit, namtarn, and nam. Karl suthiluck almost couldn't suppress the rage and grief he had felt when kongpob and forth brought in the dead bodies of the three, he almost went flying into a rage last night mainly because of how devastated and defeated kongpob look.

Along with the pain of losing and not being able to help his long time and really close friend and not even being able to save that's friend's child. However what stops him from going berserk last night is his wife that asked him to take priority in giving namtarn, nam and arthit a decent burials first and considered kongpob's feelings because kongpob's mom knows that more than anyone kongpob's the one who's hurting more in this tragedy.

That night kongpob didn't leave arthit's side, he just had stayed there next to the man he loves without moving an inch, without showing any emotions at all, not saying anything even to forth that at first stayed with him however kongpob later on asked his friend to leave him alone with arthit for awhile saying, ' forth, could you leave us first... I want to be alone with him... ' as reluctantly as he is forth didn't have any heart to argue with kongpob about it and just did what his friend needs most... A time to be with arthit a little more bit longer... Just a bit more longer before kongpob has to finally accept it and let go... he just looked at arthit with an unreadable expression.

After forth left the room where kongpob's is along with the remains of arthit, Nam and namtarn. He immediately called his father but unfortunately, he couldn't reach him which made him quite uneasy with his father can't be contacted at all he decided to call his mother whose fortunately answered. However, based on her voice he knew that her mother is aware as to what has been going on in their clan and the very reason as to why he couldn't contact his father.

Forth inquired everything to his mother, which his mother hesitantly answered, he also told her about the news about Namtarn and arthit however, he had said to his mother that's it would better if she wouldn't come here because of the situation that their family is, it'll just make it the elders to antagonize their family more now that his father has escaped with the high alpha.
