"I have the dress you need"
You were a little spooked and a lot skeptical but you were here so, why not.
She excused herself for several minutes, then returned inviting you into the back room. The back of the shop was surprising. It was large and well lit with an array of mirrors with a elevated circle in the center. To the right stood your dress. You knew the minute you saw it. She was right, the dress was perfect.
The skirt was white tulle and flowed from a narrow waist. It was sleeveless with slender straps and a deep vee neck. But what made it outstanding was the satin overskirt. The overskirt fell in waves and ruffles around the waist. It caught under the breast and created a layer to the bodice. It reminded you of flower petals.
You did not realize you were holding your breath.
“This is a one of a kind design. There are no others. It can be fitted to finish just for you. Shall we try?” she asked.
You nodded eagerly.
You slipped the dress over your head and sighed as it fell in layers around you.
“Don’t look yet" the old lady told you. She spent several minutes pinning and tucking until she told you to turn around. You had actual tears as you looked at yourself.
“Yes?” she asked.
“Yes" you nodded. You took a quick picture to send to JangMi for her approval. She called you immediately, almost yelling in her enthusiasm. The old woman excused herself as the two of you finished on the phone.
You stood looking in the mirror, running your hands down the v of the neckline, wondering if Jin would think it too daring. Your tattoo was covered by the straps, so that was not a concern. You closed your eyes and imagined him kissing his way down your neck and into your cleavage, pulling to expose the butterfly then sucking and kissing it as his hands gathered the tulle, pulling it up to your waist.
You were flushed when the old woman returned. She chuckled and said “ what a lucky young man". That made you blush all the harder. Was she some kind of mind reader?
As she drew close she brought something out from behind her back. It was a breathtaking mask. It would cover your eyes and nose leaving only your mouth exposed. It was covered in crystals and pearls of varying sizes. It caught the light from all directions and glittered like diamonds. There were huge white plumes rising from one side, secured by more pearls and a large rhinestone broach. It was stunning. You held it to your face in the mirror and smiled. It was perfect.
“You will need a diamond or rhinestone necklace with a teardrop just to the top of your cleavage, not that you need any help drawing his eyes there" she smiled.
“ I will hem it a little short. Wear dancing shoes. Let him hold you and want you all night" she winked, causing you to blush.
“Consider covering your hair. It is a distinctive color. “ she drew back and took a long assessing look at you“ No, I suspect your young man will find you immediately in the crowd. He will not have to see your face or hair” she patted your arm and smiled again “ he sees you more deeply than that”
Leaving you pondering that, she stepped back to allow you time to think. You already made up your mind. This was it!
A few more details and JangMi's contact information and she assured you the dress would be delivered the day before the ball. Normally this timing would make you nervous, but you were reassured by her calm sweet smile.
You were elated leaving the store. You made a quick stop and purchased a new white lingerie set. Everything was going to be perfect.
NOTE: I can't wait till Jin sees her!! And think how beautiful he will look!!!! What do you think?
