School starts

The week flew by, quicker than usual, as the days went my nerves got worse, until the day before I could hardly breathe. I was excited to but mostly nervous, it was crazy to think that tomorrow I would be in the Gold Coast competing for my dream, this is crazy! I hated the nerves!

I reluctantly got out of my warm fluffy bed and got into the shower, quickly got dressed in some high wasted light denim shorts and a crop top with my favourite black vans. Ready for school. My last day before holidays start and my competition starts, if your not a competitive surfer than you probably don't know that surfing comps can go for a couple of weeks if your good enough. Anyway I left my room and ran down stairs, I was running a bit late. I pored my pre-made smoothy into a take-away cup and ran out the door towards the bus stop. I talked to a few of my friends and waited for the bus. The bus came to a stop in front of us and we all hopped on, soon enough we where at school. I got off the bus and started to walk to where the surfers sit, we all sat down and started to talk about our holiday plans.

"What are you doing for the holidays?" Jason asked, the hottest one, out of all our group, I thought anyway asked me.

"I have the selections remember?" I laughed I had only told them about this about a million times.

"Oh yeah, are you nervous?" he asked

"Of course" I answered in a 'duh' tone.

"Right! haha" he laughed "Your so lucky!" He exclaimed

"You all are just as good as me." I said shyly

"Yeah right so that's why we might be going on the ASP world tour!" Kirra joined our conversation

"I'm not that good guys!" I said blushing I hate it when they do this!

"Sure sure!" Kirra said

"Who's coming surfing with me this arvo?" I asked hoping everyone would come with me. everyone said a 'yea alright' or 'sounds good'

"Yay!" I said happily, but my happiness was gone when the bell for homeroom rung. Everyone groaned and we got up and started to walk in all different directions Sam next to me because we are in the same homeroom.

"What board are you taking?" Sam asked, meaning the selections I guess.

"Billabong have supplied some new ones for me when I get up there." I explained

"You are so lucky!" he said jealously, I decided to make him extremely happy.

"Hey you know that board of mine the 5'1? It's a bit small for me and I need space for my new boards, you don't want it do you?" I asked already answer, he loved that board it was his favourite, a light blue colour on the whole board and rainbow fireworks on the back.

"Are you kidding me right now, cause if you are it's not funny!?!?" he asked suspiciously

"It's yours" I say laughing a bit "you can come and grab it this arvo if you want?"

"OMG!!!! you are so awesome! Thank you so much!!!!!" he said enveloping me in a bone crushing hug.

"Your welcome, just let me go!" I said laughing so hard

"I'm so stoked!" He said with a huge smile on his face.

The day went quickly, just boring teachers telling us about boring subjects. Finally it was the end of the day, finally a good surf! I ran out the door and towards our table to meet up with everyone to get the game plan for our surf.

"Hey guys!" I said happily

"Hey so I think we should go to Southies it's good for this wind?" Dreak asked, another friend of ours. In our group there is about 10 of us Dreak, Kirra, Missy, Jason, Avalon, Chloe, Sam, Luke, Chase and I, The surfers.

"Yeah ok go to mine first but I'll pick up my board and then we'll go to Southies" I said, my house was the furthest away from that break and everyone else was pretty much across the road from it.

"Yep" Jason said popping the 'p' we all started walking towards my bus, everyone kept there bike at my house because it had a huge garage and they all pretty much lived here anyways so why not.

When we got to my house I grabbed my board and gave Sam his new board and we headed off for the waves!
