A/n: Ok, so I know that both a Doctor Who and a Sherlock one have been requested and I'm working on it, but someone pm'd me on tumblr saying that their period was giving them hell and this would make them feel better so I started this one and it just sort of worked itself out. So that's my excuse, but the other's are coming along. I also have a TFIOS one in the very early stages of development if anyone is interested...

"Hey, Ally! What's up?" Austin asked, walking into Sonic Boom. Ally lifted her head just enough to meet Austin's eyes, before dignifying his question with a unintelligible noise (that sounded somewhere between a groan and a growl) and dropping her head back onto the counter. Austin hadn't realized how tired she had looked at school that day, but looking at her now, he also realized that he hadn't realized that she had worn her hair up. For most people, Austin knew, wearing your up wasn't significant in the slightest, but this was Ally. She never wore her hair up! She claimed it "made her ears look huge", which, as he had told her on countless occasions, it totally didn't. But it didn't seem to really make any difference, as she always left it down anyways. If her hair was up, then something was definitely wrong. "Ally...?" Austin said hesitantly, hoping for a response that sounded more like a word. Ally looked up at him, glaring. "What?" she snapped. If looks could kill, Austin was sure that he'd already be 6ft under. "Oh... I was just wondering why your hair is up?" he asked her, silently hoping that it would be a really simple answer that could be easily dealt with. "Am I not allowed to have my hair up? Has a new law been passed between the time you walked in and now, stating that hair being worn up is illegal? Or does it simply displease you, Austin, because obviously if it displeases you, then I better put it down, because God forbid it displeases you, the great Austin Moon!" Ally seethed. Austin stepped back, hands in the air. "Woah! Ally, calm down! I just came over to ask if you had finished that song yet...? Dez wants the final lyrics before he gets back from his trip so that he can start brainstorming for the music video." Austin grinned hopefully. Maybe, he thought to himself, Ally would move on if he pretended to... One look at her face, however, told him that he had made the wrong move. Ally was furious, her face red with anger. "Calm down? CALM DOWN? Who are you to tell me to calm down? You walk in here like you own the place, see me lying here, obviously trying to get a tiny bit of peace and quiet after you pestered me all day, and ask me about a song that you haven't even offered to help on! How dare you? I am not a machine, Austin! You can't just push a button and have a song appear! I'm sorry, but the world doesn't revolve around you, Austin, and you need to learn that! And you know what?" Ally took a deep breath, as if she were trying to regain her composure. "Don't come back until you have." And with that, she turned and ran up the stairs and into the practice room, slamming the door behind her.
Ok, something was undoubtedly wrong. This was ALLY DAWSON for crying out loud. Up until a few weeks ago, she couldn't even sing in front of people! Ally never looked tired (she once told Austin that she went to bed at nine), and she never ever yelled! Something was wrong, and Austin was worried. If Ally was really mad at him, then maybe she would refuse to ever work with him again! Was she going to break up with him? No, he shook the thought out of his head. That kind of thinking wasn't going to get him anywhere. This was his Ally, and he needed to apologize, not stand here thinking idiotic thoughts! And with that, Austin ran up the stairs.
"A...Ally?" Austin stammared, trying not to sound as worried as he felt. "I...I'm sorry, You're right. I should have offered to help you with the song. And you're hair looks amazing up, just as it does when it's down, in fact, I like your hair however you choose to wear it- not because of how it looks, which is always great, but because when light reflects off your hair, your eyes shine just a little brighter, and because when we watch movies together, and you cuddle into me, I can smell your green apple shampoo and the scent makes me melt a little everytime I catch the smallest wiff... I'm off track. Ally, I'm so so sorry I was being a jerk and..." before Austin could finish, he heard Ally begin to cry on the other side of the door. Calling out her name in a hushed, concerned tone, Austin slowly opened the door. One might say what he saw suprised him, however that would be both an exageration and an understatement of the mix of feelings he felt course through him as he looked at Ally curled up into a small ball on the new couch near the window. Rushing over to sit next to her, Austin pulled Ally onto his lap, stroking her hair slowly. As Ally began to lean into Austin's warmth, Austin did what seemed to be the only other thing he could do. Leaning down, Austin began to whisper quietly into her ear the words "It's going to be ok. It's all going to be ok" over and over and over again.
The pair stayed this way for what seemed hours to Austin (not because he grew tired of holding her but simply because he was concerned) but was probably no more than a few minutes. Once Ally had calmed down, Austin simply waited for her explanation. Instead of gaining what he thought would be an explanation for this strange behaviour, Ally simply got up, thanked him, and began to leave. "Ally!" Austin practically yelled. She turned to him, willing her eyes not to fill with tears once more. "Why won't you tell me what's wrong? I deserve to know. I'm concerned about you and your safety! Did someone do something to you...?" Austin asked fearfully, gut churning. Ally shook her head, and he let out a breath he didn't realize he had been holding. "Then what is it...?" Austin looked at her, trying desperately to find some form of an answer in her eyes. Instead, however, he saw them well with tears. Running over and pulling her into a tight embrace, Austin rubbed her back as she sobbed. "It's... it's just so... so... embarrassing!" Ally stammared. Austin could see a blush rising up her face out of the corner of his eye. "Ally, Dez is my best guy friend. Do you really think I haven't been in an embarrassing situation or two?" He asked, smiling at memories of falling board shorts and lifeguards laughing at him. "Not like this..." Ally mumbled, half to herself and half to Austin. "Try me." Austin whispered back. "I...I'm on my period" Ally whispered so quietly that even though she was speaking directly into Austin's ear, he still need to strain his hearing so hear what she said. "Oh..." he said not sure how to respond. The thought of periods certainly didn't freak him out like it did some guys, but he had never really had any girl friends who felt comfortable enough with him to say something like that before. Ally began to pull away from the hug. "This was a horrible idea! Now you're just going to get all awkward and we'll end up not being friends anymore!" She exclaimed as she tried to pull her other hand from his, having already successfully removed the first. Instead of letting her go, however, Austin used the momentum he had from her pulling away to twirl her back so that he was holding both hands. Looking into her eyes, Austin took a deep breath. "Look, Ally. Look into my eyes. This doesn't scare me, and it doesn't make me want to run away. Like it or not, you're stuck with me so you better get used to that fact." He said, smiling. A tentative smile began to play on her lips. "Really?" she asked after a long pause. "Really." he replied.

A/N: Ok, I wasn't sure if I should end here or if I should continue... Tell me if I should continue in the comments. And (I know- don't start a sentence with and- bad me) if you have any other requests please please please request on either here or my Tumblr (link in my profile description thing). It doesn't have to be period related, I do almost all requests (I try to avoid triggering requests, but it truly depends on what is asked for).Reviews are what get me out of bed in the morning...
