I would have never thought God would have made my life like this. I mean why would he leave me with someone who doesn't even love me, let alone want me in his life. If it wasn't for my friends I probably wouldn't be here on this planet. I would have left a long time ago, but my friends kept my spirits up even though they have no idea what I go through at home when I'm not with them. I used to be really suicidal, but they don't even know about that. I thought about doing it, but I realized how that would affect everyone else in my life and I would be giving into my dad. I won't let him win. Not today. Not ever. He doesn't get to run my life.

Even though I knew once I stepped in my house I would get a beating from my drunken dad doesn't really mean I've had a bad day or week. At school it's actually been pretty good. My friends have been amazing and Jeremy hasn't been too bad either. In fact, I have a date with him today. He said that he was going to pick me up and I don't know what we are going to do, but I think it has to do with watching romantic movies at his house. I could be wrong, but who knows. I'm really excited about it though.

I'm actually getting ready right know. I decided to wear a plaid shirt with some jean shorts and then put on neutral makeup enough to wear it still covered up the bruises that I have from my father and then curled my blonde hair. After already being ready for five or ten minutes I hear the doorbell ring and it must be Jeremy. I walked down the stairs and opened the door. There stood Jeremy wearing a blue shirt with shorts. He smiled and said, "Hey. You look really great."

I smiled, "Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." I walked outside and closed the door. We walked to his car that was parked right in front of my house. I went to open the car door, but he stopped me, "I got the door for you."

"Aren't you just a gentleman today?"

"I've got my moments." I got in the car and he shut the door.

Then he walked around to the driver's side and got in then I asked, "So what movie are we going to be watching tonight?"

"Well that is a surprise." He winked.

"What about dinner?"

"That too is a surprise."

"Fine. But just so you know I hate surprises." He drove straight to his house. Once we pulled in the driveway, I noticed his two-story house was plain white with grey shutters. I got out of the car and we both started walking toward the door. Jeremy opened the door and I walked in first as he followed behind me. "Where are your parents?"

"They are out for the evening, so it's just us. Alone. All night." He got really close to me and wrapped his arms around me and started kissing my neck.

I stopped him, "So where is this dinner that you supposedly made me?"

"You're looking at it." He spun me around. What I saw was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I was totally not prepared or expecting to see that. I saw candles everywhere and sitting on a table was a big bowl of Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo- which is my favorite food. "How did you know that this was my favorite?"

"A little birdy told me." I gave him a smirk. I knew that it was one of my girls who told him, but I didn't want to argue with him since he did all of this for me. He touched my lower back and gestured me forward. "Well how about you sit down and I'll go pick the movie that we will be watching tonight."

I just nodded and sat down on his greenish couch. It was really comfortable if you ask me. I decided to wait until Jeremy got back with the movie to start eating and after about one minute or two he finally arrived in the living room again. I smiled at him, "So what movie did you pick out for the two of us to watch?"
