Bella's Different Beginning

It's time

Edward's POV

I had no idea how many minutes, hours or even days I had been out for but I heard a high pitched ringing in my ear and I couldn't see. I could hear a faint rummaging somewhere. I channelled all my energy into turning my head where I saw, through my fuzzy vision, a girl with thick brown hair, a girl who wasn't moving.

"Edward!" Said a man's voice.

I struggled to keep my eyes open.

"Edward!" I heard the voice again.

This time I turned my head around again and saw a man outside who was trying to open my door. I blinked again and again as fast as I could and my head finally started to clear up. I recognised the man outside as Carlisle. my eyes widened as all the memories from the accident came flooding back to me. I turned around and saw Bella. I unbuckled myself and reached over and overestimate my shaky hands over her body, not sure what to do. what if I touched her and all he'll broke loose?

"Bella! oh my gosh. Bella! Please wake up!" I sobbed.

I could feel the tears coming.

I quickly turned around to open my door to let Carlisle in.

"What happened, Edward? Is Bella--" Carlisle started but then he looked across me and caught sight of Bella, unconscious. at his vampire speed he ran over to the other side and grabbed Bella out of the car and gently lay her on the ground. I got out of my side of the car but a sharp pain in my leg. It felt like a break but I had to get to Bella. It didn't matter if I was okay. I fell out of the drivers seat and crawled around the car and went to Bella and Carlisle.

"Carlisle, is she okay?"

"Yes I can hear her heart beat. She'll be okay."

"Oh thank goodness. Then why isn't she waking up?" I asked.

"She will soon, she's just in shock. don't worry."

I sat up next to Bella and felt the tears rolling down my face.

Then I remembered. "Carlisle, what happened to Alice and Jasper? are they okay?"

"Yes they're okay, Esme took them back to the house and Rose and Emmett are home too." he told me.

Relief washed over me.

"Edward, just while we're waiting for Bella to wake up there's something you should know. Even though you weren't badly hurt, I need to turn you and you brothers and sisters as soon as possible so that you can all settle into it and then we will have to turn Bella too. I'm sorry, Edward." He explained.

My head snapped up.

"No, I'm not changing Bella, I can't do that to her. she doesn't know what she wants."

"Edward, unless your willing to let her die, I will have to change her. her injuries are bad and so are yours. I'm sorry, son."

I bent over Bella's body in defeat.

"When she wakes up I'll talk to her." I said.

Just then Bella arched over with a loud gasp. "Oh!"

"Bella, oh thank god, are you okay?" I fretted.

"Wait, Edward. Just give her a minute to get her bearings." Carlisle told me.

I waited as patiently as I could.

Bella kept gasping and looking around frantically.

"Edward? where am I? what happened?" she asked.

"Bella, Bella. I'm right here, you're okay. calm down."

"Edward . . . "

I gently pulled her up and rested her back in my lap, stroking her hair.
