p.s this is quite long, 4 pages sorry about that! i got carried away with it but just enjoy!

A few days later, Monday 1st September, The Vamps and me and Jess have recorded our song together called ‘It doesn’t matter’. The Vamps have performed at Fusion Festival but I haven’t seen them since last Wednesday. Although I haven’t seen Connor we’ve been talking non-stop. I untie my hair as I turn on my curling wand and drag a brush through my hair. “You’re going to hang out with the boys, not on a date Ellie.” Jess moans as she sits on the bed, flicking through each television channel deciding what to watch. “Yeah well I’m not going to let four hot boys see me with my hoodie on, hair all messy and no makeup on am I?” I reply back, sarcastically. I start curling my hair, making sure I don’t burn my hand. I take piece after piece of hair twisting it around the wand and then letting it drop gracefully in precious locks. “You don’t give a shit what people think about your appearance Ellie, we both know that. I think you’re trying to impress Connor.” She hits the nail on the head. She is always right, it’s like she can read my mind. “You really like him don’t you?” She adds and I slowly nod as I look at her through the mirror on the dressing table. “But he doesn’t like me back.” I sigh because I know it’s true. “Do me a favour and shut up yeah?” Jess says as I see her roll her eyes. “How come Connor didn’t invite me to Starbucks when he invited you?” Jess says, making a point. She then continues “Didn’t you hear what James said this morning, Connor went to find you because he wanted to see you. You can be so blind sometimes Ellie.” Jess laughs as she turns off the television and walks into the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. I stare at myself in the mirror as I hold a piece of hair on the curling wand. I see my eyes as they glow a hazel colour. The mix of green and brown weirdly, metaphorically, relates to my life. The green colour relates to grass and the brown colour relates to the soil underneath. The soil represents my pureness, the inside of me which not many people see but the green grass resembles the outside of me that people tend to walk all over and misjudge me. “OUCH!” I scream in pain as I feel an excruciating burning sensation on my left hand. I immediately pull it away as I put the curling wand on the dressing table. I look at my hand and see I’ve badly burnt the top of my hand. I must have been in my thoughts for a while to have burnt it this bad. After putting some cream on my hand and bandaging it up I struggle to do my makeup so I just settle with some bb cream, a light dusting of blusher and very minimal mascara. “Are you okay, I heard a scream earlier but the shower was nice and warm so I didn’t want to get out.” Jess asks as she walks out of the bathroom in a towel. I laugh as I slide my phone into my pocket. “I burnt my hand.” I laugh even more as I remember that I told myself to be careful. “I can’t leave you on your own for five minutes.” Jess laughs as she opens up the wardrobe. I check my appearance in the mirror. I wear the same jeans and shoes as I worn this morning to the studio but I decided to change my top to a simple grey Superdry hoodie.

The boys meet me in the lobby of my hotel and they walk me to their hotel which is a ten minute walk away. They’re staying in London whilst they work on the song with me and Jess and came back on Sunday after going to Birmingham for Fusion Festival. When we get to their hotel room I go and sit on one of the twin beds whilst Connor sits on the other. Tristan sits on the chair by the window and James and Brad settle on the floor. “Pick your teams.” Tris says as I pick up the controller, getting it comfortable in my hand. “Random teams.” Brad says. We’re told to close our eyes as we scroll through the teams. “STOP!” James yells and I release my hand off the button and open my eyes. I see I have Arsenal and Connor has Everton. “That’s funny because I support Arsenal.” I say with a laugh as we launch into a game. No one says anything to anyone as the room is filled with silent breaths and the sound of the commentator on the game. Even when Connor scores two goals in first ten minutes he doesn’t cheer. He then gets three goals by half-time and I slowly lose all hope of wining. It’s not until the eightieth minute where I get two goals in five minutes but I don’t get another goal. The final score is 3-2 to Everton. “Hard luck Ellie.” Connor turns to me as he says this with a huge smile on his face and I realise it’s the first time he’s spoken to me all evening. “Okay I’m bored now.” Brad admits as him and Tristan stand up and head to the door. Tristan point to James and he stands up and walks over to the door as well. “Where you going lads?” Connor asks as he unplugs the Xbox and turns of the television used to play the Xbox. “We’re going to find food.” Tristan explains, but it sounds like a lie, as they all file out through the door. I just turn to look at Connor and laugh.
