Once Liat finished talking with the bishops of how to capture Twist, Oliver, and now Tyler. She gave her dad one last hug before heading back to the secret bandito campout, which wasn't really a secret anymore.
The banditos noticed Liats absence. It was Dizzy who noticed first. Then everyone became concerned. They looked around frantically to find the missing Liat. Some got into groups of 4 to 5, trying to better their chances on finding Liat.
"Where the hell could that girl be?" Yangle asked to Wormy who was looking under a rock.
"You act like I know." She said, not making eye contact.
Twist and Oliver walked into the woods together. The silence make Twist anxious. Oliver noticed her tension and grabbed her hand, trying to make her feel more at ease. Twists face became red at his action. But it made her feel a bit more calm. They continued to walk until they saw a girl with red hair roaming the woods. Twist squeezed Oliver's hand in fear. He put his arm around her.
"It's okay."
"But she's-"
"It's fine. I'll radio Tyler."
"O-Okay."
Oliver reached into the pocket of his black parachute pants and pulled out a small black walkie talkie that had yellow tape wrapped around the antenna and had some on the sides of the radio.
He whispered into the radio, but loud enough for someone on the other hand to hear. "We found Liat."
There was a few seconds of static.
Just then, Josh spoke from the other end. "Okay. Where's your location?"
"coordinate -567, 209."
"I don't know what that is."
Oliver sighed. "West side of the forest."
"Okay we will be there soon." Josh said before the walkie talkie faded back into static.
Oliver turned off the radio and put it back in his pocket.
"They will be here soon." Oliver gave a reassuring smile.
She smiled still unsure of it all.
Still having her hand in his, he pulled her towards a large bush. He kept her low as he kept watch on Liat, who was now sitting on a rock messing with a small object that Oliver couldn't really see. He watched until he heard a group of banditos, lead by Tyler and Josh, coming their way.
"Liat." Tyler called.
She turned to him and smiled, waving her hand at the group of taped figures.
"Hey guys! What's up?" She smiled brightly.
Tyler and Josh, along with the rest of the banditos, crossed their arms. "Don't act so oblivious Liat. You know what you did. You left and had everyone worried for you and your safety."
She pouted her lip and gave a sorry look to everyone. "I'm so sorry guys. I don't know what I was thinking. Please forgive me for my dumb actions on leaving the campout with no warning."
All the banditos murmured to each other before nodding. "We forgive you!" They said in unison as they smiled and gave Liat a hug.
Oliver looked down at Twist, who was still sitting with her knees pulled to her chest. He shook his head. "She's evil. I can feel it."
She shrugged at his comment.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
She shrugged again. Not to say a word.
He sighed. "Well sure. You can give me the silent treatment." He got up from the bushes and left Twist.
She stayed there for a while before getting up and heading straight to her tent.
Tonight though, was performance night for Tyler and Josh. But Twist wasn't feeling it. She stayed in bed, Staring at ceiling. She was zoned out until she heard someone open the zipper entrance and come in.
"Are you not gonna go out there?" Josh said, worried of this new behavior.
She shook her head.
"You were gonna play tonight. You were gonna take my spot and play with Tyler for the rest of the banditos."
She shrugged and turned over, now facing away from Josh.
He sighed. "Just know that there people here you can talk to. Take as much time as you need. I hope you feel better." He patted her shoulder before leaving.
Twist stayed there. Listening to the concert happening outside. After 3 hours, it finished, everyone went to sleep and Twist was in bed, wide awake.
'What is wrong with me?' She thought to herself.
This thought lingered in her mind for the rest of the night.
