Epilogue: How They Meet

Zack's (POV)

I'm setting here watching my oldest great-grandson who just turned 21. He was talking to this beautiful young lady and you could see the look in his eyes. He had found his mate. I listen in to them and what I heard surprised me. The young girl said,"My name is Katarina Patrova. I'm the daughter of Nicolai and Saraphynna Partrova. They are the Alpha and Luna of The Silver Moon Pack. I'm the oldest daughter, but my brother,Jaxon, is the Alpha now and sent me here as a liaison, to see if we can renew the treaty with the Alpha King and all."

Kaleb smiled and said,"That is great! I ment great that your pack wants to update the treaty and all. Ummm can I ask you something?" She nodded,"Ummm you do know that you are my mate right?"

She giggled and smiled and said,"Yes I do know this, but are you Star Crossed?"

He gulped and said,"Sadly no, but I promise, I will never cheat on you and I will only think of you and our future kids."

She smirks and says,"You will have to talk to my father and see if he approves of you and all! You see, it is unheard of for a Star Crossed wolf to be mates with someone who isn't. Anyways, I have to call my brother and let him know what is going on, he will want to make sure that I'am okay and will most likely come here himself. He is very protective of me." With that she gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked away.

The look on his face said it all! He wanted to prove to her family that he was the only one for her. You see, back when he was 18 he got his birth mark covered with a tattoo and it pissed me off. I had told him that he was stupid for doing that and afterwards he started to have pain there. We found out that he had lost his Star Crossed mark. It really upset his mom and them.

He was destine to be the next Alpha King and now he wouldn't have all of his power cause of what he did when he was 18. I followed the girl and heard her tell her brother what was going on and you could hear how pissed he was. I knew then and there that he would be here soon and my great-grandson was in a lot of trouble. I went back to the party and just sat there and waited.

3 hours later, Kat's family showed up. You could feel the power coming off of them. My great-grandson just gulped. Nicolai came forward and said,"So you wanna be with my little girl huh? You will be put through many test and if you are found unworthy of my daughter, your bound will be removed and you will never see each other again. Is that under stood?"

My great-grandson took a deep breath and bowed and said,"I understand and I will face whatever test you have before me and I will pass them all."

Nicolai laughed and said,"We shall see young man! The last none Star Crossed wolf that took this test, died a very slow and painful death."

My great-grandson said,"And I would face death as much as I needed to be with the other have of my heart and soul."

Nicolai looked at him and then at Saraphynna. Let me tell you this, gazing upon a legendary triplet is scary as hell. She nodded her head and smiled and then went over to my great-grandson and placed a hand on his shoulder.

He looked at her and she said,"Be warned young one! What I'm about to do, will test your mental powers! You will still be here in this room physically, but your mind will be some where else." He just nodded and within a few minutes, my great-grandson's body went stiff and his eyes turned white.

We all stood there and watched for hours as he went through this test. Around 11 pm that night, she released his shoulders and he stumbled back, but stayed standing. He had gone white as a sheet and looked around. You could tell that he had changed.
