Reckless [Asking Alexandria love story]

Chapter 2

James' P.O.V

Me and the lads are out again tonight, drinking Jack Daniels on the streets and having a laugh. It's something ridiculous like midnight or something but we're having a good time so we don't really notice. I decided to challenge Ben.

"oi Ben, first one to that bench over there gets the rest of this bottle!"

"You're going down bitch!" Ben has always been a fast runner, but I was slightly faster than him.

We set off bolting down the street when Ben tripped over the pavement and face planted! HAHA! That bottle's mine! I ran over to the bench and took a victory swig of Jack.

"hey no fair! I fell over!" he whined. Such a sore loser. I just jumped ontop of the bench and laughed my arse off! Danny, Cam and Sam all came over, still pissing themselves at the sight of Ben falling over! Ben didn't find it funny at first but he soon realised it must have been a pretty funny sight and started laughing with us.

"Mate, that was hilarious!" Danny said between laughter. 

"It hurt a bit but jesus christ I can imagine how funny that must have been to watch, even if I didn't win the shitty bottle of Jack"

I covered the sides of the bottle pretending it had ears and gasped dramatically
"DON'T SAY THAT ABOUT MY BABY!" That caused Danny to fall to the ground laughing.

I jumped off the bench and carried on walking further down the street when I saw something in the darkness. It looked like a girl.

"Guys, I think there's someone over there"

"Oh lets go and bless them with our presence!" Danny said and started skipping down the road towards the figure. 

The closer I got, I realised she was doubled over in pain on the floor and wasn't moving. I started running towards her whilst the lads trailed behind wondering what was going on.

"Shit, guys we need to get her back to my house!" Danny shouted as he bent over her lifeless body. The rest of the guys soon realised what was going on and agreed. I picked her up bridal style and started running back to Danny's seeing as I'm the fastest runner out of all of us.

I couldn't feel her breathing and I couldn't see her chest moving through the dim street lighting. "FUCK! Guys hurry up she's not breathing very well! Come on, stay with us!" I started running even faster until I soon saw Danny's house in sight. Ben had a look of pure worry on his face and Cam and Sam looked shocked. Danny unlocked the door and we placed her on the sofa. By this time any alcohol we had consumed was having no effect on us and we were concentrated on trying to help this girl.

When Ben turned the lights on we saw her arm covered in blood and cuts. I took off her top and shorts so I could try and clean her up. She has bruises and scars all over her body. Danny walked in and turned pale white.

"We need to clean up her arm and then she can rest in my room. Hopefully she'll wake up tomorrow and we can talk to her." he said. I nodded in agreement and went to talk to the rest of the guys, leaving Danny to clean her up since he knows where everything is in the bathroom.

Danny's P.O.V

What was supposed to be a good night out has turned into a nightmare. 

There's a beautiful girl lying on my sofa who could have died if James hadn't have spotted her. I carried her to the upstairs bathroom and got out some antiseptic cream to put over her cuts after I cleaned up all the blood on her arm. I applied to cream then got some bandages out of the cupboard and wrapped her wrist up. I then cleaned up the rest of her body and went to my dresser and got a top out to but over her underwear. 

I carried her over to the bed and lay her down gentally. I pulled up the covers and placed her underneath; tucking her in. 

I stood there for a minute watching her rest peacefully when Ben came up stairs.

"How's she doing mate?" 

"Good, I cleaned up her arm and put antiseptic stuff on it so it doesn't get infected. I think she did that to herself." I said, shivering at the thought.

"Well we won't know for sure until she wakes up. I think we need to find out where all those bruises and stuff came from, or her name for that matter" he said, chuckling a bit trying to lighten up the mood.

"She's really gorgeous. I didn't notice out there because we were all panicking, but wow." I looked at Ben when he said that. His eyes were glazed over a bit and he was looking at her with such care. None of us even know this girl but we all feel so protective of her. I have never seen him look at someone with that much love, and surprisingly enough I wasn't angry or jealous. 

"Yeah, yeah she is. We should go downstairs and leave her to rest. Are you guys staying over tonight?" I asked.

"Well Cam's already gone home, he was really freaked out so he went home to sleep but the rest of us are if that's alright?"

"Ben, you know I don't care, you don't need to ask. I'll sleep on the sofa, you guys have the spare room."

"Alright, thanks mate. See you in the morning" He said as he went into the guest room. 

I walked downstairs to find Sam and James were already upstairs as well. After getting the blankets and pillows out of the airing cupboard I lay down and fell into a dreamless sleep.

Sam's P.O.V

Well that was eventful. I just want to sleep now and deal with all of this tomorrow. I hope she's ok.

James' P.O.V

I'm so glad we found her; if we hadn't then she might be dead. Ugh no, I don't even want to think about that. We'll find out more about her when she wakes up, after what we saw tonight I don't think any of us want her leaving without explaining to us.

Ben's P.O.V

She really is gorgeous. I want to know more about her. I can see Danny thinks the same but we're not going to argue over her, we're not like that, we never have been. Who knows, she might not even like us, but all we're focused on at the moment it making sure she's ok and finding out more about her. We all feel really protective over her and none of us are going to let her go back home without getting to know a bit more about her first.
