****NEVS POV****
We all just kind of sat there for a while, unsure what to do. Aria just stormed out, into the rain all by herself, leaning us in her apartment. It was all Cams fault. Ha! Well, we will call him Cam for now, but I'm starting to doubt more by the minute that that is who he really is. He's definitely lying about something more than why he can't video chat Aria, which was the reason behind her abandoning us in her home. There must be a reason for all of this.
Max and I stood where we were for a few seconds, not saying anything. I was a little closer to the door than he was, I had been fairly fast following Aria before she left. I'm sure she was crying, too. The whole crew, cameramen, producers etc were scattered across her sitting room mumbling about what to do.
The last thing Aria said, and I felt particularly it was aimed at me, is that we don't care about her, only for our show. It was totally untrue but rather than it bothering me like it usually would have, it just sort of stung.
I agree, all the producers and bosses of the show didn't give a shit about her feelings, she was merely a prop to them, making them more money, giving the show more popularity. Me and Max, however, do care for her, despite her and I not speaking these past few days. I had been exactly where she is now and seeing her reaction to being let down and having more doubts fill her head, brought me back to my own experience of being Catfished. I was becoming so emotionally invested with Arias story that I'd started feeling as though it were me all over again.
The cameras were down, no longer filming as there was nothing to do, apparently, but wait. I could still hear our bosses talking, clearly growing impatient with Aria. Feeling Max's eyes on me I turned away from them, as they continued to talk about Aria, mocking her. My fists had started to clench themselves, only to unclench and repeat every couple of seconds.
'He doesn't want to FaceTime me, I'm running away!' Someone joked.
That was it. It was insulting to her, me and anyone else to have experienced this. I started to wonder why I even worked with these assholes, they're supposed to be sympathetic. Fucking idiots. Max's face expressed everything I was feeling. But he would hold his tongue.
So would I. Not wasting my time on these idiots. The rain was still pounding hard against the window, but it didn't bother me. Hell, Aria is out there without a coat and her tiny little frame and has been for the past half hour. I shivered, why did we let her leave. Without a second though, my jacket was being pulled on and I was out the door and into the rain almost as quickly as Aria was.
----
It was freezing. Just a completely numbing cold that made your bones hurt from tensing up so much. The rain only seemed to get heavier, mercilessly beating off of the ground and even with my jacket on, I couldn't escape it.
There were so many twists and turns in Arias estate, which I had already commented on while driving there. It was confusing and I doubt I would have found it without the GPS we always used while filming. I don't know exactly where I'm going, or why. Whether I just needed to escape the ignorant assholes I had to work with, or if I was looking for Aria, I just knew I had to keep walking.
As I fought through the wind and continued to be soaked, my mind turned back to her. Aria. I don't know what drew me to her so much. Sure, she was undeniably beautiful, but so were a lot of girls. Well, very few could compete, but it was much more than her appearance. She was fascinating. Just a completely enchanting person. She could leave you questioning her, and even yourself hours after you parted. She challenged me, unfazed that I was 'famous'. And her dancing. God, her dancing. Anyone could be captivated for hours just watching her. In my own experience, time just stops. She was unlike anything or anyone else I'd ever seen.
