I wake up and stretch my arms out. I sigh Only 2 more weeks and summer will be over soon I think to myself as I get out of bed to brush my teeth. After taking a shower, I get dressed and head downstairs. "Mom hasn't made breakfast so she must have gone to work." I groan and go to the kitchen to make pancakes for me and my sister. I walk to my sister's room to go wake her up and I see her hiding my phone under her pillow and pretending to sleep. I walk up to her and start tickling her, while also sneakily grabbing my phone from under the pillow. I chuckle and say "Eww, you stink. Go brush your teeth and take a shower, you little stinky bug." She giggles and runs to the bathroom. Suddenly, I start smelling smoke. Shoot. I hurry to the kitchen and throw out the burnt pancake. I sigh as I pour more batter into the pan. After I fixed the table, my sister sits at the table, anxiously waiting for me to put down her plate. I make a face on her pancake using whipped cream, strawberries, and chocolate chips. "Here you go, Lilly." I set down the plate in front of her and kiss her on the cheek. She immediately starts to dig in. I sigh happily and sit down to eat my pancakes. After we finish eating, Lilly starts watching tv. I look at her suspiciously and say "Did you finish your summer packet?" She rolls her eyes and replies "I don't need to do my summer packet for the 6th grade, so leave me alone Lea!" Ugh, what am I gonna do with this little girl  I say to myself as I shake my head. "Lilly, we both know that mom will flip if she finds out that during summer break all you did was play games and watch videos." I can hear her groan as she goes to her room to get her backpack and finish her packet. Once I get to high school, what will it be like? Will it be like in the movies, where the main character gets bullied by the popular kids? Will it be like the stories, where the protagonist falls for the bad boy?  What will my story be like? "Can we go to the grocery store?" I hear Lilly say as she breaks my train of thought. "Yeah sure, whatever Lilly." I dismissively reply back. I try to recall what I was going on about but Lilly interrupts me again. "Lea, you're going to the store like that?" I look at her confused and then remember that I said yes to something and assumed that it was this. I put on some knee length shorts, a white and pink striped blouse, some brown sandals, and my mom's sunglasses. I grab 20 bucks from my stash of money I got by working at the movie theater and the youth's summer camp. I quickly grab my set of keys and lock the house door. I grabbed Lilly's hand right before I looked both ways and cross the street. As we are about the enter the store, Lilly and me spot a guy who doesn't have his shirt on and is sweating like crazy. Well, isn't this cliché?
