I lead my sister into the grocery store, avoiding eye contact with the shirtless guy, knowing very well who he is. As I try to enter, someone grabs my waist, pulling me back. Shoot. I giggle nervously as I look him in the face. "Shoot, you caught me." I say as he pulls me into a sweaty embrace. So. Much. Sweat. I gasp for air as soon as he lets go of the embrace. He looks at me confused and I shoot him an awkward smile. He smiles back and says, "So how was your summer, Lea?" I look down and reply, "It was great, thanks for asking, how was yours?" I didn't pay attention to what he said afterwards, I just wanted to get out of this situation as fast as possible and hide under my blanket covers. Then, god answered my prayers and Lilly called out, "Lea I need money to pay for all this!!" I look at the guy nervously and say, "Sorry Axel, but I gotta go, catch you later!" I hurry into the grocery store and pay for everything. I grab Lilly's hand and hurry out of the store, quickly waving goodbye to Axel. Thank god. I open the front gate and fumble with the keys. After helping Lilly put everything in the fridge, I flop on my bed and sigh relieved that I managed to escape Axel without being too awkward. I pull out my phone, and start texting my best friend what happened.
Lea: B, GUESS WUT?!
Bianca: What?!
Lea: I SAW AXEL W/OUT HIS SHIRT!!!!
Bianca: OMG UR KIDDING RIGHT?!?
Lea: HE GAVE ME A HUG TOO!!!!
Bianca: EEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lea: IKRR!?!? I WAS SOOOO NERVOUS!!!
Bianca: Y WOULD U BE NERVOUS! I WOULD BE SO EXCITED IF I WAS U
Lea: Also he was extremely sweaty....sooo
Bianca: Eww...U hugged him back tho, right?
Lea: not rlly.. i was too nervous
Suddenly I hear a noise under my bed....like a scratching noise. I become scared of what it might be and cover my self with the blanket. I hear a growling noise and start whimpering. And then I remember... Lilly! I muster all the courage I can and look under my bed. I see a door glowing and crawl under out of curiosity. Whatever is under here could hurt Lilly, I can't let anything happen to her. I wander deeper and deeper, feeling more nervous the farther I go, feeling deep in my gut that something bad is going to happen. It feels as if I have been crawling for hours when I finally reach the door. I hesitate before grasping the handle and opening the door under my bed. The floor under me seems to disappear like an illusion that only I could see, and I fall into a world of light, eventually descending into darkness as I lose my consciousness.
