One of the places he passed on the journey was a vast field. A variety of sports and games were played there by several groups of children up to teenagers.
He immediately coughed when a ball hit right in his stomach and got him step backward two steps.
How could the ball get to the paved road Haechan was currently passing through?
"Don't you wanna beat us today, Lee Donghyuck?" One of the soccer players shouted. Yep, he was someone who had just kicked the ball out loud. And he said so because Haechan was always competitive and did not want to lose. In this case, soccer. They were rivals both in school and outside. And they always showed displeasure with each other.
Haechan smiled bitterly.
"Never mind Chani. Don't disturb him. You know what's happening to him." Jaemin's hand moved slowly to push the kid's chest as he said it. No shouting, but Haechan could hear his voice.
Chani spluttered, "Let's fight, coward! If you refuse, then you lose." He still teased Haechan deliberately. Jaemin could only roll the eyeballs in the face of his friend's annoying behavior.
Haechan firmly clenched a hand that did not hold the biscuit. He then kicked the ball, intending to return it to the field. Chani accepted the ball by stepping on it as the round object rolled smoothly toward him.
"Congratulations on your victory." Haechan said without excitement.
"Hey. What the hell is this?" Chani said unbelievably.
Haechan did not care this time. It was better to be cowarded than anything bad happened to him.
"He's really unpleasant." Chani told Jaemin. People would normally think Haechan was now not as annoying as he used to be. Because he really learned to be mature. However, Chani was an exception. Whatever Haechan did, it was always wrong for him.
Haechan continued the journey.
A few minutes walking and he almost got to the minimarket. Taking a shortcut through a quiet alley. He had time to think when he saw a plump-looking man looking like a thug walking from the front.
And when they passed, "Hey boy. Maybe you still have the rest of your money?"
Sure enough. The man kept walking and got Haechan step backward and his back ended up crashing into the wall of one of the buildings that flanked the alley. Cornered.
The man was really a thug. With red eyes like drunk out.
Of course Haechan was afraid. But he did not show it at all. He showed a flat expression instead, when the right hand reached into the pants pocket. He pulled the left one behind his back to save his biscuit.
Once Haechan removed the hand from inside the pocket, the man screamed when in two seconds Haechan punched him on the face and kicked his chest.
Haechan immediately ran from there to save himself.
He just made a trouble.
Next came the inevitable chase.
He wanted to quickly reach the sidewalk and the road where it was so crowded and he could ask for help to whomever he met.
Before that he made sure whether the criminal had lost track of him or not.
He peered through the wall at the intersection.
And what he found was a narrow path with no human air.
Sighing with relief, he turned around and instantly gasped with what he saw.
"Where are you going?" The asker grinned.
Why can this goddammit man find me anyway?!
Today he was really had a bad luck.
He had to take a thousand steps again to save himself from the man whose face he had hit until he got bruise.

.
.
OMG.
Way too bad.
The thug got him.
Haechan put himself in danger.
What will happen to him next? :']
