Chapter 4

Mia

The next day, Justin was acting like a child. He was grumpier than before, actually he was pissed.

His pillows weren't fluffy enough, the room was too warm, his legs ached from being in bed all day. He was making excuses to get out of bed and go back to work. I was still distant from him after yesterday, though today he was actually listening to what I was saying.

"So I was thinking," I started as I sat down onto the bed next to him. "If we want whatever that is going on between us to work, we need to spend some time together. Do something that normal couples do."

"What do you have in mind?" He listened carefully, asking questions when necessary. He was acting softer towards me since my breakdown yesterday. He was making sure that I couldn't see in him pain, he was keeping a brave face in front of me even though I heard him complain that his back killed like a motherfucker, his words not mine and his neck was aching.

"I think we should go grocery shopping every two or three days, make it a ritual." I said.

"I don't know if I could make time for all of it but I definitely promise at least once a week." He said as he grabbed my hand.

"Don't make promises you can't keep Justin." I sighed.

"Trust me Mia. I'll make it all up." He exhaled as he kissed my hand.

"And, I also want you to be there for either breakfast or dinner every day just so my mind can be at peace Justin. I know I'm asking for a lot, I just need to make sure you're going to be okay."

"I'll try Mia. Anything for you." He said as he hugged me.

"Now, time for medicines!" I said in a baby voice making him groan.

"Mia I don't want to take those." He said as he pushed my hand out of the way.

"Stop being a baby. You can take drugs but you can't take your regular medicines?" I whined.

"I won't take those." He warned.

"I'll call your mother, and have you beaten down to a pulp."

"You wouldn't dare," He challenged.

I grabbed my phone and as I did so, he snatched the pills out of my hand and swallowed them without drinking any water.

"Good boy." I said as I walked out of the room purposely swinging my hips, hearing Justin groan which made me smirk to myself.

Justin

My mouth was actually drooling as I watched my brothers eat the greasy Italian pizza. Jason caught me looking and slid a slice over. I was officially not allowed any of this unhealthy food, not that I would have it anyways. It was just making me hungry because I knew I couldn't have it.

"I don't think you should do this Justin." Muttered Jaxon from the other end of the island.

Just as I was about to pick it up, I could hear footsteps making their way down the stairs making me slide the plate across the island.

"I smell pizza!" I heard Mia squeal.

"Sorry Mia all the pizza's gone." Jacob said with his mouth full.

"Don't tell me Justin ate any of it." She put her hands on her hip, looking at me with that look.

"Don't worry baby, I was simply participating in the watching part." I said, wrapping my arms around her waist, nuzzling my face into her chest causing her to giggle.

"And that's our cue to leave." Jonah muttered as they all left the kitchen, hearing the yell of my brother and 4 different cars start up and zoom past the house.

I pulled Mia to sit next to me as she huffed looking the empty plates. "I'll take you out tonight. Be ready at eight." I sighed.

"Only if you ask me nicely," she teased, a smirk playing on her lips.

"Okay," I took a deep breath. "Mia Russo Bieber, would you like to go on a date with me tonight at eight?" I asked as I held her hand in mine, looking into her eyes.

"Of course, Mr Bieber, see you at eight." She grinned and walked off to god knows where. Just seeing a smile appear on her face makes my heart explode with these unknown feelings. I was turning soft, but only for her.

Now I had to go prepare for our date.

I feel like I'm in high school all over again. Not that I ever experienced anything like this when I was there, but you know when you have that crush on the bad boy, that was me. Except, the bad boy was my husband.

I was so excited for this date, but I have no idea as to what I want to wear. My hand carelessly wondered through my closet, my eyes landing on a box behind everything. There was a note attached onto it:

Mia, please wear this for our date tonight.

P.S. please wear your hair down naturally, I love it like that.

Be ready by eight,

-J x

As I open the box, I could feel my cheeks heating up when a place of lace is revealed, however as I pull it out, I realise that it's just part of the dress.

The dress is a gorgeous velvet midnight blue colour.

I carefully put the dress back into the box before retreating to the bathroom to get ready. While I was in the shower, I made sure to clean my whole part of my body deeply, not needing to shave as I get my body waxed.

While I was in the shower, Justin must have come upstairs to get ready as well, a watch missing from his drawer as well as his Louis Vuitton wallet from the nightstand.

I decided on curling my hair, running my fingers through it so that it looked effortless making a mental reminder to get a haircut.

As I finish doing my makeup, I look at myself in the mirror and see a different Mia. A happier Mia, with no bags under her eyes and a weird glow on her face.

What was happening to me?
