Chapter 2 'secrets and crime' (and maybe blood)

It's only been a few hours, and things already felt weird.

Everytime Chloe would do anything, Cheerie would just watch her closely, even when she finished her chores the android would still watch her, she knew that Cheerie was programmed to do this, but this was just getting creepy.

"Um, not to sound rude but....could you stop watching me so much? It's starting to creep me out.." "I'm sorry Chloe, I didn't mean to scare you" She sighed and went to her room, the android standing right in front of the door.

Chloe sat on her bed and called Gabbie "Hey dude, hold on I'll add Kellie to the call" A few minutes past and Kellie, Chloe's other friend was added to the call "Hey Chloe, what's up?" "Guys.....they got an android.." "What? I thought they hated-" "They only bought to 'straighten me up'" Chloe interrupted Gabbie "oh, does it have a name?" "Yea, I named her Cheerie" "Cheerie? That a unique name" Kellie said "idk where the name came from, but once it popped into my head, it was the only name that sounded...perfect I guess" Chloe sighed and stared out the window, police sirens could be heard.

"Chloe....we're worried about you....we think you should call the police on Jennie and Scott.." Kellie sounded concerned "No, you guys know I can't do that..." "We know you don't wanna go back into the system, but they're treating you like utter shit! They're not even feeding you anymore! Chloe.....it's like they're treating you like an android..." Chloe stayed silent as Gabbie spoke "look....we hate seeing you so upset at school....you tell us all these things that they do to you.....we don't wanna see you get hurt....we care about you....please, at least think about it..." Gabbie finished, Chloe sighed "....fine...I'll think about it...." The police sirens got louder "damn dude, more crime happening on your street?" Kellie asked "the police are always in this street, I'm used to it.." "I wonder what's going on now..." "Anything could be going on, a lot happens in this stupid place.." Kellie was silent until she said "......You think someone got killed?.." Both Chloe and Gabbie were a little surprised at the question "highly unlikely....there's never been a murder here...." "You never know...look I gotta go, I'll see you guys on Monday" "Yea I gotta go too, see you guys on Monday" They said their goodbyes and-

"oh wait, Chloe...can I ask you something?" Gabbie asked "um, sure" ".....is there a reason you always want me walking with you after school? You never really told me the reason for that.....don't get me wrong, I don't mind doing it, it's just a little odd.." Chloe froze, she didn't know what to say. Truth be told, she told absolutely NO ONE about Amy, she was too scared to, she knew what she was capable of. She didn't want her friends getting hurt "um, Chloe?" Chloe heard Gabbie speak and now just realized that she never answered her "um, there's no real reason I guess, I just....hate walking alone...that's all.." Gabbie didn't seem convinced, but let it slide "hm, ok....I'll talk to you later.." They hung up and Chloe sighed as she stared at the night sky.

"......I'm such an idiot..."

(This might be the only time I do this, I'm not too sure)

(One more thing, I don't know how investigating works out, I guess? So if I got anything wrong, sorryyy)

Hank and Connor arrived at the crime scene, many other police officers already therethere. They entered the house and saw 3 dead bodies, two adults and a little girl "So what happened?" Hank asked another officer "a lady from next door saw movement in this house and then saw the blood on the curtains, we suspect that the bodies are a couple days old"

Connor took a closer look at the bodies as he analysed the blood, Hank gagged. After some investigating, Connor got all the info he could, and made his way back to Hank "did you find anything?" Hank asked "I couldn't find much, all I could get was that the mother and daughter were stabbed and the father was shot, no signs of fingerprints anywhere, so this was most likely done by an android, and there are no weapons nearby, so the android most likely fled with the weapons" Connor concluded "hm, strange, if they father got shot, how did no one in the street hear it?" "I haven't found the answer to that yet Lieutenant"

Hank nodded and walked away, Connor had another look around, and noticed a small broken table. When he took a closer look, he concluded that the table had only been like that for a few hours, meaning the android might still be there.

He looked at what room was closest to the broken table, when he opened it, he realized that it was the door to the basement.

"Has anyone checked the basement?" Connor called out "I don't think so! Why?" Hank replied, walking over to the android "I've concluded that the android might still be here, that table over there has been like that for only a few hours, and the only room closest to that table is the room to the basement" "Well, then go check it out, maybe you'll be lucky" Hank said and walked away once again.

Connor ventured his way down the stairs, the basement was dark, but not dark enough to not see anything. So far, he found nothing, that was until he heard something being knocked over, he went towards the noise and saw a shadow of the android, hiding "I know you're there, show yourself" Connor demanded, the android slowly came out of the shadows and into the very dim light.

She looked damaged, she didn't have the synthetic skin on her right arm, and her left eye was black and blue, a damaged eye, she had blood red hair that looked like a mess, and she was covered in both blood and thirium, she was trembling "I....I-I didn't do it...p-please don't tell them I'm here....please....." She begged, Connor stayed silent "hey Connor! You found anything?" Hank called out from the top of the stairs "please.....don't.." She begged quietly ".....it's here Lieutenant!" Connor shouted out, her eyes widened, but before she could do anything, she was dragged upstairs and was put in handcuffs "Wait! Please! I didn't do it! I didn't kill them! I-I swear" No one listened, they just stuffed her in the back of a police car and drove back to the DPD for questioning.

Hank and Connor got back in Hanks car and drove off, Hank noticed Connor looking very zoned out "hey Connor! You alright?" He said, Connor came back to reality and looked at Hank "I'm fine Lieutenant, I was just checking to see if anything in my system was damaged" "What? Why?" "Well, I couldn't scan the android, when I did, an error popped up, it said it was unscanable" Hank was silent, trying to think of a solution "hm, maybe the android was too damaged?" "....maybe" Connor concluded, they were silent for the rest of the drive back to the DPD.

This was gonna be a long night.

Finally done with Chapter 2! Sorry this took so long to come out, I was having a lot of real life problems, and I also procrastinate, so that wasn't helping

HOPEFULLY (and I mean that) Chapter 3 will be out soon
