You arrive home from work and change into some more comfortable. Once you're able to relax you decide to find something to watch. While flipping through channels your phone starts to ring and you check to see who it is and see that it's your mom. While taking to you mother you end up telling her about Erik. Only mentioning your encounter with him while picking up Angel. You ask her what she thinks about the situation and if you should just move on. But being your she just told you to go with why you feel is right. After a while you hang up and go into the kitchen to find something to eat. While searching you hear your front door open as Dominic and Angel walk in with pizza. You, Dom and Angel sat at the table eating and listening to Angel talk about her day with Dom.
You sat in your bedroom looking at the paper with Erik's number debating on what to do. You wanted to hear what he had to say but you also didn't give a fuck either. Dom walked in and you stuck the paper in you nightstand. He sat down on the bed staring at you "Don't be mad at me okay." He say holding your hand. "Mad about what?" You say raising your eyebrows. "I have to leave in a couple of days for work." He say. "Really? You just got back a couple of days ago." You say sadly. Dom loved his job and you were supportive of him but you hated that he was always traveling. "I know babe but I'll only be gone for two days." He says kissing your forehead and laying down beside you. Making sure Dom was asleep you go into your nightstand to get Erik's number and text him when and where to meet you.
Today was the day that you were meeting Erik, it was also the day that your husband was leaving. As your husband left you got ready to go meet with Erik. Angel had stayed over at your parents house so you didn't have to worry about finding someone to watch her. On the drive to the coffee shop you thought about all the thing that Erik could possible tell you. All of which were probably gonna be dumb as fuck but you wanted to hear for yourself. You arrived to the coffee shop a hour early just in case you wanted to bail you'd have time to leave without running into Erik. You order a green tea and go through work emails while you wait.
Looking at the time you see that you have 20 minutes left. As you get ready to put your phone down it starts to ring. You see that it's your mom and as much as you didn't want answer it but you do anyway. "Hi momma wassup?" You say taking a sip of your tea. She informs you that Angel is sick and that she might have to go to the hospital. "No! Don't take her to the hospital just bring her home. I'll meet you there." You say grabbing your purse and walking to your car. You text Erik telling him you have an emergency so you have to reschedule. Even though you wanted to get this little reunion with Erik over with you were kinda relieved that you didn't have to see him today. You felt like you had to mentally and physically prepared yourself so you didn't lose it in front of him.
You pull into your driveway just as your parents arrive. You walk up to their car as your dad walked up holding Angel. As you open your door your dad walks in and lays Angel on the couch while you talked to your mom. After spending the majority of the day taking care of Angel you put her bed and go to take a quick shower knowing at any moment she'll probably be calling for you. Once you're out of the shower you throw on some shorts and a shirt and go check on Angel who was still asleep. Going back to your room your phone starts going off you run to see who it was hoping to God it wasn't Erik. Seeing that it was Dom you felt relieved and answered it. He asked about Angel to see how she was doing and about your day and you asked him about work. While telling you about his day your doorbell rings knowing you weren't expecting anyone you out on a robe and head downstairs to the see who it was. You thought it could be Julissa because she's known for little pop ups like this. Still on the phone with your husband you look through the peep hole and see Erik as he pushes the doorbell again. "What the fuck!" You say to yourself. "Who is it?" Dom says curiously. "Y/N I know you're there." Erik says "Ummm it's mom." You lied "Oh tell her I said hi." He says. "Okay I'll talk to you later." You say hanging up.
