Neighbors

Chapter 1

A boy with black hair and bright green eyes which seemed as almost as if they glowed looked out the car window as the raindrops rolled down felt his phone buzz in his pocket signaling he got a message. He took the phone out of his pocket and checked his messages "we'll miss you, Suzuki " he smiled as a tear rolled down his face thinking how he has to leave his friends behind "mom why do we have to leave?" The boy said glumly "because your father got a new job in Washington and it pays better than his old one" she said driving down the highway " but it's not fair we're gonna be hours away from my friends" he whined "you'll make new ones" his mom flashed a smile at him.

After hours upon hours of boredom and snores, they finally arrived at their new home. The boy stepped out of their car and was automatically greeted by a small black stray cat. The cat was oddly friendly and had dark red eyes with a scar on its back. Suzuki leaned down and pet the cat "how cute" he smiled. He walked inside the house and the cat followed his path. Suzuki chuckled as the cat followed him "no you silly kitty you can't come in" he chuckled. The cat rubbed against Suzuki's leg as a way to say please. Suzuki rolled his eyes playfully and let him into the house. Suzuki walked into his new room that had dust everywhere with spider webs hanging off of the corners off the room.

After exploring the house Suzuki decided to go on a walk. Suzuki was walking around when he bumped into a boy and fell onto the ground "hey watch where you're going" the boy said aggressively "s-sorry" Suzuki said when he looked up he saw the stubborn boy holding his hand out "wha-?" Suzuki said confused since a boy who was just so stubborn was being nice "are you gonna let me help you up or what" the boy responded seemingly angry "t-thank you" he grabbed the boys hand and helped himself up. After helping Suzuki up the boy retreated his hands back into his pockets "t-thank you, my name is Suzuki it's nice to meet you" Suzuki stuck his hand out for a handshake. The boy just stared at Suzuki looking questionably confused. The boy's expression changed from annoyed to aggravated "what do you want?" the boy said furrowing his eyebrows "n-nothing I'm just new to the neighborhood and want to make new friends" Suzuki said with a smile "why are you short" the boy coldly said "what! You don't just ask people why are they short when they are trying to befriend you!" Suzuki said waving his hands around to express his emotion " you don't just bump into people" the boy said with a slight smile "well it's not my fault!" Suzuki said not noticing the boy was just joking with him "I'll see you around shortie" the boy said walking off with a slight smirk "w-wait I didn't catch your name" Suzuki said turning around to face the boy "I didn't throw it" he said not even looking back and walked off into the distance.

Suzuki was home in his new bed around 9:45 pm He tried to fall asleep but he couldn't stop thinking about what happened earlier. He rolled onto his side and pulled a blanket over himself as he tried to drift asleep "man that guys scar on his eye was cool" he thought to himself "he obviously looked my age so maybe I'll see him on the bus stop Monday!" He mumbled to himself happily trying to unveil more to this story. He closed his eyes and opened them again and was greeted by something furry on laying on his stomach. He sat up and saw the cat from earlier "oh, hi baby" he smiled and pat the cat as it purred. Suzuki found himself slowly drifting to sleep.

667 words and a whole week to write it not because it was long but because I'm lazy 👍 XD
