"It's been four days." says me.
"Yes." says mummy.
"Four days and there's a perfectly reasonable explanation?" says me.
"Yes." says mummy.
"No." says me, "A person who texts me most days has not texted me for four days. It must be aliens."
"No," says mummy, "She's a very busy person."
"Yes, but four days? I better try texting again."
"Nope." says mummy,snatching the phone.
"Are you quite sure she's not been kidnapped by aliens, or maybe worse, maybe she has forgotten about me!"
"I'm very sure, she's just busy, she'll text soon."
"But she could be in trouble, maybe...
She has fallen over in the middle of nowhere and can't get up or... She could be ill and no one knows or.. Maybe she's still in the pub like she was last Friday or.. The most likely thing of all... SHES BEEN KIDNAPPED BY ALIENS !"Mummy sighs. "I'll give her a text."
5 minutes later mummy brings my phone back.
There's a new text:
I promise I'm alright and have not been kidnapped by aliens. Night.
"She's just busy." I tell mum.
