the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.Streaks of purple and gold stretched itself across the dawn sky, reflecting itself upon a small pond. Mitsu sat at the waters edge. A single tree sighed next to her, it's long vines swaying. It was a Weeping Willow. She pondered about the tree oh Weeping Willow, how did you obtain your sorrowful name? Why must you sob? Who or what must you weep for? She paused, why must her thoughts race every time she had peace and quiet?
Suddenly, a rustling sounded behind her. Her head snapped around, she gazed over her shoulder, her long wavy hair following her motion. A small rabbit hopped out behind the undergrowth of the edge of a forest, and out into the spacious plot. It twitched it's nose, it's cottontail occasionally flicking. It would hop once, munch on a grass strand then hop a couple more times then repeat. Mitsu slowly rose to her paws and spun around. The rabbit rose it's head up to meet her eyes. Innocent. Calm. The small creature dared to hop closer, it's eyes filled with serenity. Mitsu took a couple paces forward, "How are you doing little guy?" She questioned, "Oh, how cute you are," she spoke as the corners of her mouth curled back into an inviting smile. She lowered her head to sniff the snow white animal. It's stubbed muzzle reaches out to meet hers and they touched noses. It's pink nose soft and velvety. Her tail wagged graciously, "Are you out here on your own little fella?" She tilted her head in curiosity, her malleable ears flopped around in the movement. The bunny hummed back, the sound so soft it seemed almost inaudible. "Don't fret young one," she mustered the words.
Although, out of the blue, an extreme hunger displayed itself across the she-wolf. She tried to keep herself from crumpling over in agonizing pain that shot out from her gut. Her pupils shrunk and she snarled, attempting to bite back the pain. I must ease this hunger she thought to herself but I can't do that to that poor creature. She eyed up the small animal, so vulnerable, such an easy kill, one bite would be all she needed. No, I can't! Her mouth began to drool, a strand of saliva gravitated to the ground and pooled on the grass. It's just one bunny, those little pests are already overpopulated anyways! She licked her chops. She couldn't control herself any longer, she was a feral animal, you can't expect a hungry wolf to restrain herself from eating prey as available as this rabbit is, "Forgive me," she muttered to the white ball of fur, and snapped her jaws and craned her neck. Her canine teeth landed around the animals' windpipe. CRUNCH, the sound seemed to echo as the bunny went limp. A thick crimson liquid rolled down her chin, it's taste coppery and salty. It stained the rabbits' white fur with a softer red. She laid the rabbit down gently, still warm after the fresh kill, respecting the corpse before feasting among it.
Once she had her fill, she buried the body, "Thank you for your sacrifice, it was much appreciated," she murmured to the heavens. Then, she trotted over to the pond, and cleaned off her blood-stained maws. The Weeping Willow whispered on about Mitsus' killing in the passing wind, though all who heard were incapable of translating the bellowing. The canine lapped at the water, still, it reflected the skylight and it's purple and golden streaks, now turning into a pale blue, so light it was almost a milky white. The water rippled as her tongue broke the surface. Once she replenished her thirst she sat back up, and sighed. Calm once again, filled with serenity.
