With Eden And Rachel
Rachel ran into their college dorm. She was holding her books tightly pressed against her chest and she looked like she was in a hurry. Eden looked up from her phone with curiosity when she heard the door to their dorm slam open. She had been currently lazing around while eating different sorts of chocolate bars in her bed while Rachel had been helping out in a meeting with the student council. She was the secretary there and had to note every source of information that was given to the members for the other college students to see what the council was working on and for the principal to be aware of the future changes that the student councillors wanted to achieve in their college.
"Eden! We have an exam tommorow! We're going to fail if we don't study!" While Rachel was panicking, Eden unwraped a granola bar that was lying on her bed next to a pile of uwraped chocolate bar papers that she had been too lazy to get up and throw away.
"I couldn't care less if I fail, but hey! Study all you want! I'm going to play Mystic Messenger. " , she told her best friend. Rachel cocked an eyebrow. She seriously cared about her studies, but wasting a little time on her favorite game wouldn't hurt now, would it? Eden played all sorts of games all the time instead of studying and she still had average grades. But then again, Rachel didn't want average grades. She had to have the best grades. She decided to shrug off the guilt from slacking off and slowly put her books down on Edens bed as she sat down next to her friend.
"I guess.. I will...join you..." She sighed as she took out her phone from her hoodies huge pocket where she kept dozens of pens and small pieces of paper where she wrote down important stuff that she needed to remember for later. Eden laughed.
"What route are you replaying this time?" Eden asked. Rachel gave her a halfhearted smile.
"I think I'll replay-"
Ding Ding
A notification popped up on their phones at the exact same time.
Mystic Messenger : 17:00PM.
" New Game Mode Update ""Oooh! Well, that's strange. A new game mode?" Eden asked while turning towards Rachel.
"Cheritz finally updated the game?" Eden said, sounding kind of suspicious. Rachel looked equally confused. Usually, Cheritz would give the players a heads up before updating the game.
"What do you think "Realstic Mode" means?" Rachel asked Eden. Eden just shrugged. Though, the sudden update seemed to raise a red flag, she was more than excited to try this new game mode out.
"I don't know, but I can't wait to find out!" She typed in her password and opened up the Mystic Messenger app as soon as her phone had logged on to her home screen, but instead of Cheritzs " watermark " or whatever appearing, the game glitched. The glitch barely lasted a second before Eden had been logged in into the game. Without the basic loading and signing ins and all that. The game had just skipped the starters and had entered what was supposed to be the RFA app all by itself. Not that she was complaining but...It was just so weird. This had never happened before. Not to her and she doubted that it might have happened to others. Maybe it was because of the sudden update that the games functions had kind of gone out of the ordinary? But surely, the game wouldn't just act that weird because of an update? She furrowed her eyebrows. That glitch...She hadn't been able to completely make out what the glitch was like but from what she had been able to see before the glitch had disappeared, had she been able to tell that that was the kind of glitch that you got when you came in contact with a virus. She felt an sudden ache in her head, but the aching left just as soon as it had came. She just shrugged the ache off with the thought that it was because of all the all nighters that she had pulled to watch anime.
